I've been TTC for nearly 2 years now and finally went to the doctor. Had a blood test on CD16 (should have been CD21 my mistake). Doc said there was a problem with progesterone but that she wouldn't pay attention to it because it wasn't CD21.

When I collated all of my details from FF it looks like I O around CD15,16,17 and my fertile window is given as CD11-18. It also seems that my luteal phase is around 10-12 days which is short I think.

I went back to the doc today to ask if I should still do the 21 day test she said yes that it was best to have two results. I feel like it's a waste of time, if there is a problem with progesterone should I at least buy some cream to use once I've had my 21 day test or am I just being impatient? I could also take vitamin B6.

Also how should I use it?

Any advice would be gratefully received.

First, get the repeat day 21 test. 10 days is on the short side, but ok (just), 12 days is fine. A sort lp is not necessarily down to low progesterone, so self medication with cream may not help. There's no harm in trying some B6, start with low dose eg 50mg a day and see what happens.

Honestly I would get the day 21 bloods and go from there. Even if that comes back normal, I would push for a referral at this point, if you have been having sex at the right time for two years, it is time for further investigation.

Thank you:flower:
I guess I'm being too impatient but I want to feel like I'm doing something to help. Even BDing seems pointless unless we sort the underlying problem. (Not that I'll stop :winkwink:)

I have a short luteal it's 10 days and got 3 kids so try not to worry on that side of things :)

Sorry haven't been on here for ages. Thank you that does give me hope
