hello!

I just have a quick question for everyone - I'm a single 29 year old female that is debating starting a family of my own since mr. right doesn't seem to be showing up.

is there any advice that can be given to me? I know single parenting will be a challenge, and so I'd like to go ahead knowing all the gritty details!

I think the answer to that largely depends on a lot of your life circumstances; your support network, income, emotional and financial stability, work schedule, etc.

Its no doubt raising a child is a massive commitment and takes a lot of time, energy and money. I don't think having a second parent necessarily makes it easier; (in most cases it does, but that largely depends on the parent) a single parent could potentially have less trouble raising a family if they have a good support network and resources than any given couple. I know some couples who struggle more than I do, because their finances are in worse shape than mine and they don't have as strong of a support network as I do. I think that's what it really comes down to.

If you're finances are in good shape, you can offer a stable home to provide for a child in, and have a few people in your life that you can rely on then I'd say you're in good shape and should go for it if its what you really want
