We found out son had lactose intolerance by doing a poo sample because he had constant watery poo we tested about 7 samples ans kept coming back ok,then by chance 2 come back positive so he was put on neocate it is horrible but son is now 3 1/2yr old and doesn't know any different
Ask your gp for neonate say you want to try it and it will be free on prescription as it a medical issue he's got..but also tell dietician you want it and she will most likely give it.
Normally if babies have no issues we have to buy milk of our choice but medical issues you will be prescribed a special milk ie neonate, pepti junior etc there's a few out there but see what they decide..
Also they should do test as he's a baby anyway they do here in UK
