36-yes, 4-no... WOW. That's all I have to say That is absolutely ridiculous.
There was one girl on here about 2 months ago.. she had a REALLY bad blue dye evap. It looked so positive, but she went to the doctor and found out she never was pregnant. Does anybody remember who that was? I think there was a debacle about where she lived or whatever with the UK riots?
Also, if you google you can find loads of stories about blue dye evaps if that helps xx
I had a + on Clear Blue that turned out to be a possible chemical pregnancy. Doctor said that those are usually accurate. Some - can be a very, very early m/c or chemical pregnancy and its really hard to say whether or not it was if its so early and most doctors won't even do a blood test unless you have symptoms that are causing you physical problems.
So I think the company could likely counter with this. I don't know if its really worth petitioning. Unless everyone who had a "false +" was tested for HCG levels and even then, its difficult to determine in some cases whether it was indeed the beginning of pregnancy or not.
Could they be more sensitive or something? Is that possible? I don't really know!
Maybe write to the company directly?
My blue dye story... Got pregnant our first month ttc, but sadly had a mc around 6 weeks which really devastated me and my boyf. We kept on trying, and, not knowing anything about blue dye tests, biught a tonne of them the next month. I was so over the moon when I tested at about 12 dpo, and there was a very clear line. Tested the next day, the same thing, and in total I did 6 tests, everyone had what I thought was a positive. When I then got my period I was convinced I'd had a chemical pregnancy, and became convinced I had something wrong with me. My boyf says he's never seen me like that, I was totally crushed, and so worried, and kept apologizing to my boyf as I felt like it was obvious there was something wring with me. Anyhow is had a blood test done and the results came back a.week later that I'd not been pregnant that month. I don't want to sound OTT but it was sooo upsetting, plus it meant when I actually was pregnant the next month noonei told (my mum, nan and sister) would get even a little bit excited until I was about 12 weeks. my boyf said it wasn't till our 20 wk scan that he felt able to relax even a little.
Also, iv seen so many people get hurt by these tests on here, and I'm so sorry ur going through it too. Legally I don't get how they can sell them... I work in advertising and if we advertised something as 99% accurate which was proven not to be, wed have to withdraw the advert immediately .
As already pointed out ur only 11 dpo, there's every chance ul still get ur bfp this month. just get a pink dye. Fingers xd for u hun x x
I had a similar story.. so sorry to hear about your loss congratulations on your pregnancy though!! So happy for you!
I didn't know until about two days ago when I found this forum that there was such a problem with the blue tests. So tonight when I went to buy some more tests I made sure to get the Pink ones. Thanks ladies for the possible heartache save.

I just bought a Target brand blue dye test and guess what? I got a BFP almost instantly. I got a bfn on FRER just this morning. I hate blue dye tests! I will be contacting them, demanding my money back, if my AF shows in 4 days!
Ohh... Well, it was a definite faint line but had a thin darker line on one side and the other was just a faint thick line and I had + OPKs 3 days in a row at that time. The doctor was at Planned Parenthood because I don't have a doctor and she said I'd have to go to the hospital if there was an emergency, but otherwise no way to tell and not to waste the hospital's time, basically. But since then my body's been SO off, and it was the weirdest cycle ever that month, so I'm almost 100% sure it was a chemical.
But hmm, I definitely won't be using blue dye again.
