any cures for heartburn???!!! help please!!!

Wow not sure if there is something going around but I have the worst heartburn EVER accompanied by horrible nausea! Can't be pg since af came only one day late and the day before I took a test and it was a bfn. All I had was a peanut butter and jelly sandwich! Took two prilosec because the first didn't work within an hour and a half(pharmacist told me this is ok once in a while, I'm not just crazy). And still not getting better! Can't try milk (bugs me at night) crackers didn't work. Any other ideas???

ugh I keep getting it too! I'm pretty sure I haven't been eating anything different to give me heartburn.. i have a sore swollen throat to go with it & it makes me think i'll gag on food trying to eat it, I kept getting a nauseous stomach ache & I've been wicked thirsty... and I ran out of milk! would tums work?

I'm only on CD11 (now that i guess its midnight)..

i have a glass of milk as it helps die down the acid in the stomach, but i also suck strong mints and they are good too.

people use gavascon but can get expensive if you have to keep buying it x

ALOE!! It works WONDERS!!! I get mine through herbalife, but I'm sure there are other places. Mine, I just mix with water. I try and take it every day (I am out right now). I'm not a huge herb-lover, but aloe I really like.

TUMS!! They work wonders for me. And Prilosec. Ever since I quit BCP I've got wicked bad heartburn. Not fun at all.

Antacids! I use tums - plus they're a source of calcium.

I tried tums and prilosec and they both didnt quite cut it! BUt thanks ladies I eventually fell asleep and it went away over night.... coming back a little again tonight and I also keep getting nauseous

if you mix water with some baking soda that will make it go away, it will taste disgusting but its better than the heartburn
