Hi lovely ladies,

Hope you are all well.

I am just wondering if anyone has had or is going to have a pregnancy massage/ pamper session?

If you have is it worth it?

Thanks

Aimee x

I had one at about 24 weeks, they used the mama mio range and tbh I was dissappointed! The range is cream based rather than oil, and therefore left me feeling cold, skin felt lovely afterwoods but wish I had asked fit the espa products xx

Hiya I've had 2, I've had 1 that was done on a bean bag which was fantastic and def worth the money. Baby was breach and he actually turned with this. And my second was done on a bed which was nice but a bit uncomfortable as lying flat in my back is not easy anymore. I'd def go for it I felt so relaxed and pampered after xxx

i went to a spa and had a all over body massage when i was 37 weeks and oh yes it was worth every penny.

i had to lie on my side with a cushion betwween my knees and she massaged half my body at a time, i was very comfy

I've just seen that a local place does sessions tailored for pregnancy so once I'm on maternity leave I think Im going to treat myself. The massage I fancy is an hour long and costs £40, it says you lie on a cushioned water mattress which sounds heavenly! xxx

I had a prenatal massage. It felt great while I was having it :) Too bad it didn't last, lol.

Our hospital offers a massage service for after delivery. I haven't decided if I want one yet or not though. It sounds good now, but I am not sure if I will feel like it or not after delivery. Anyone else had one of these?

Ow i'm thinking of treating myself at a local spa for about £90 for a mum-to-be with 2 mssages, pedicure and lunch..

At the moment OH is on massaging duty ;).. Makes me feel more relaxed and can be in funny positions that are comfy for me and totally naked in my warm bedroom..

I had a pregnancy massage a couple of weeks ago and have to say it was heavenly!!!
It left my skin feeling fantastic and I haven't felt so chilled out and relaxed in ages.

I'm hoping to have another in the next couple of weeks along with a pedicure because I can't reach my toes anymore lol!!! :)

I had one at about 30 weeks. I laid on my side with a body pillow. I was having pretty terrible back pain and it helped.

I see my chiropractor WEEKLY! and get a 50min massage before my adjustment... it's lovely! TBH, not sure how I'd feel without it... I do that weekly, stretch often, ice my hips before bed... and I still have some trouble staying comfy throughout the night. So I can ONLY imagine what a wreck I would be without all that?!?!? I for sure think it's helped me during my pregnancy...

Well worth it!!!

I know an RMT who has offered to give me a massage and teach hubby massages for labour. Really debating on taking her up on it.

Prenatal massage can be great! Luckily my regular masseuse is trained and certified in prenatal massage, so I've had one every month throughout the pregnancy, its heavenly.

i had one and it wasnt that great to be honest. it actually hurt at times and laying on my sides and back. the bed was a regular massage bed so it was hard and the lady was kinda rough...i actually had to go sit in the pool after to relax my muscles even more and i was very very sore the next day

I am waiting until after...because the massage will encourage lymphatic (fat) drainage and thereby reduce swelling/encourage fluids to leave your body. I think it's worth it more then than now.

i've been thinking about this my gym do them and think i'll defiantly be having one about 37 weeks x

Thanks ladies.

I really am concidering having one.

I had a manicure on Saturday and she done a massage on my lower arms and it felt amazing, so can only imagine what a full body would feel like :) x
