Any herbalists out there?

I have bought some Astragalus capsules to try and boost my immune system, as I have had 16 viruses in 14 months, and wondered if it is OK to take when breastfeeding?

My LO is 16 months, so only feeds a few times a day. The bottle says Astragalus membranaceus.

Would appreciate any help. I'm so fed up with catching horrible bugs.

There's a lot to suggest it should be avoided.

What's your diet like? Generally a good diet and a healthy gut are the strongest defence against illness.
