any ideas for gifts for second baby?

Hi. - i'm looking for inspiration. My SIL has just had a second baby boy. I haven't a clue what to get as a gift as they don't need any toys or clothes really as they have that all from the first time round. Do you think it would be nice to get something for my SIL instead rather than baby related? or do you think new toys/clothes would be nice? sorry - I can't seem to make a decision today!

i guess that would be nice, and different as little one doesn't need anything like you said. How about something personalised for the baby? It is so hard, people were really stuck getting me gifts as i had most things from my 1st baby, however i had a boy this time around so clothes were much appreciated x

Thats a nice idea. Or you could give money for the baby's savings account, not the most personal of gifts though

I got a gift hamper of useful stuff all tied up pretty - individual nappies rolled into "flowers" wipes, cotton wool, couple of dummies, bibs, sudocrem etc & some bright socks and a dummy clip

looked great and was really appreciated

How much do you want to spend? your SIL might appreciate a yummy mummy bag. I got one for mothers day and I love it!!

What about a frame for the baby photos? Or love the hamper suggestion but what about a home made book of vouchers for 1 nights babysitting etc

I think some nice smellies for Mum and maybe some toiletries, nappies and wipes for baby would be nice... Sainsburys have 1/3 off at the moment.

For all my friends baby I have bought a photo album/photo frame/scrapbook and personalised it with their name and stuffs... all very pretty and they love them =) will post a pic of the photoalbum i made for Laila later x

I just added Laila's name and butterflies to this album.. luckily I found letters that matched the pattern! I have just bought plain albums for others though and used stick on art/letters etc and ribbons/buttons.. x

thank you all for your lovely ideas! i'm spoilt for choice! i had thought about doing something personalised but they haven't got a name yet and we're going to see them tomorrow! they took two weeks after my first nephew was born to think of a name. (not discounting the 9 months previous to that!)

i was thinking about £20-25. I really like the yummy mummy bags but they're a little out of my price range. I love the idea of a little hamper. shes very practical and i think would really appreciate something like that. And perhaps when they think of a name i can do something personalised for the little man too By the way Cyclura - i LOVE your stuff! those comforters are gorgeous! what an inspired idea. If you don't mind me asking, how long have you been doing it all? I would love to set up a business from home.
