Harry was exclusively BF until a few weeks ago.

His BFing went 'off' as he is really nosy, he wasn't feeding for long and I had a gut feeling he wasn't gaining weight. So I got him weighed 3 weeks ago and he had dropped from the 75th to just above the 25th. As he BF'd well during the night I decided to to FF during the day and still BF at night.

He's never taken more than 3oz (usually only 2oz) a time during the day and shows hunger cues every 2.5-3 hours so I feed again.

On Friday I got him weighed again and he had dropped again to the 9th.

I have a week to get him above the 25th or we will be referred. Last night I gave him a dreamfeed of FF at 11.30pm and he drained 4oz really really quickly, which is the normal amount I make but he like I said, he rarely takes. He drained another 4oz at 2.30am when he woke himself, then he woke again at 5.30am but only took 1oz, if that and I brought him to bed with DH and me until 7.30.

I will make up 5oz for night feeds tonight but I don't understand why he is taking so much at night and not during the day. That's obviously what is affecting his weight. Even during the day I've turned the TV off, gone into the bedroom which is at the back of the building so there are no distractions and still he doesn't take more than 3oz.

I don't know what else I can do?

Did u try to feed him his bottles before his naps when he's sleepy? We've always had feeding issues, & i found that Omar takes much more when he's sleepy or tired. If he's awake even if I take him to bedroom with dim light, he will not take much. xx

Could he have reflux by any chance? My LO feeds much better in his sleep because it doesnt cause as much discomfort. During the day, sometimes he only takes an ounce other times he takes 4.

Keep up with the dreamfeeds for now so he is getting more formula down.. its so stressful worry about if they are getting enough!

Last night he woke before I gave a dreamfeed but still took almost 5oz then slept from 11.30 to 6am which he's never done...

They like keeping you on your toes hey?!
