Is there anyone still about who's pregnant after a molar pregnancy loss? xx

I'm pregnant after a partial molar pregnancy. x

Hi Clo, so sorry to hear about your loss. I can't imagine what you must have gone through.
Mine was similar to yours in type, but nowhere near as far along.

How is it going this time?

I'm a bit nervous of miscarrying again, but im going to try and relax as much as I can until my scan. I've had spotting yesterday, which didn't help my nerves!

xxx

I'm sorry to hear of your loss. I think my loss was a rare case, you usually miscarry (or it is picked up on a scan) pretty early on with a molar or partial molar pregnancy but for some reason my little fighter looked completely normal, right up until his little heart stopped at 23 weeks.

It's going ok so far *touch wood* though I constantly stress and think the worst. I've had 3 scans so far and all is looking fine, although peanut is measuring a week behind, but I know I ovulate a bit later on in my cycle so im not too worried about that.

I bought myself a doppler last weekend to listen to peanuts heartbeat and that has reassured me a lot too.

aww *hugs hun* I had spotting at 6 weeks on 3 separate occasions and it scared me to death but it was completely fine so i'm sure yours will be too.

It is a good idea trying to relax but don't beat yourself up too much if you can't because it is a very stressful time! xxx

Thanks hun :hugs:

Mine wasn't picked up either, I had a few scans, after a private one missed the baby completely. I was measuring a bit ahead, but baby a bit behind, then the baby died around 10 weeks. I think thats a common age for the baby to pass away with a PMP. I waited for a MC to happen of its own accord until 12 1/2 weeks & then booked a D&C. I had a horrendous time after the D&C & bled heavily on and off for 16 weeks. I also had two months of chemo up in Charing Cross. So glad it's all behind me now. I got the all clear last Septmeber & we started TTC right away :)

I had a normal MC a few months back too, but it was early on, so not too bad. Still knocked my confidence though!

Was the pregnancy your first too?

I'm also going to buy a doppler, if this one sticks, mainly to keep myself sane! :)

aww sounds like you had a rough time hun *hugs*

Yeah this was my first pregnancy too. I kinda had a late MMC as he was only measuring just over 20 weeks when we found out his heart had stopped beating but that was at 22.5 weeks that we found out at a scan (cuz i was concerned that i hadnt felt him move yet). As it was so far on I had to be induced and go through labour but luckily I was only in labour for 2 and a bit hours and he looked so 'normal' when he came out and I got to have a hold and a cuddle.

I had some retained tissue that had me bleeding for 8 weeks after the delivery but the doctors just kept pumping me full of antibiotics (as they didnt realise it was a PMP at the time) and the tissue eventually passed by itself.

I was very lucky in that my results returned to normal pretty quickly and stayed that way though I was a bit naughty as I got pregnant the week before I got my all clear...oops! Sheffield said it was fine though!

I'm sure this baby will stick hun!!! Sending lots of sticky dust to you! xxxx
