I know some do and some do. Prior to this cycle, I didn't pay much attention to ovulation pains, I just checked my cm and that's about it. But since my first pregnancy and miscarriage, I've been much more in tune with my body and noticing little things. I am supposed to ovulate today or tomorrow, and I definitely know that by my fertile cm. But this morning I felt a random strong cramp out of nowhere...then a little while after that some just "discomfort" like I usually get when af is coming. Is it possible that was ovulation? I know everyone is different...just trying to see how other ladies notice it. :)

Hey there! I found an article that explains it very well. I am one of the women who feels when they ovulate, for me it's hard to ignore. Mine is like an inside pinching on my ovary. For a long time untilI Jew what it was I called it blue ovaries. Kinda like the female version of blue balls just because I didn't party attention that it happened the same time in my cycle every month. I naturally have a higher libido at this point in my cycle and having some fun with the hubby always makes the she go away. After tracking my cycles, I realized my blue ovary was actually me ovulating. But I still have the same cure for it to make it feel better :)

Anyways here is the article: https://pregnancy.lovetoknow.com/how-long-after-pain-do-you-ovulate

Hi there

I know lots of women have ovulation pains but I've never had them (or if I did, I failed to recognise them). Your cramps sound like they might be ovulation pains. It would be nice to know for certain when we're ovulating without using OPKs etc!

I used to be able to predict ovulation quite accurately by increased CM/EWCM before my miscarriage, but since then I have no signs at all.

That's a GREAT article! I think I have the kind of pain that is concurrent with ovulation, but I never knew it until I read the explanation above. Last cycle, I had terrible pains on xmas day with a + OPK xmas am. So that seems to align maybe...all of the apps I use () gave me a longer window and so hubby and I followed that thinking we had more time...but then Jan rolled around and I got a BFN. :growlmad::growlmad:

This time I am going to pay attention that pain and try to time things according to what I am feeling. Thank you for sharing. That really helped me.

babydust to all ! :dust:

You're very welcome. I'm glad to be able to help. The only thing I would like to add as a recommendation is pay attention to your EWCM if you get it. By the time you feel concurrent O pain, ovulation us already occurring and your window is very small. If you get EWCM get down to BDing. From when EWCM appears, O will happen sometime within 1-5 days. Give those swimmers a bit of a head start if you can. My O sneaked in a bit early while hubby and I were working back to back shifts. Do while we did BD asap, I think it may have been a bit to late and am currently hoping the swimmers from a couple days prior stuck around. Lesson learned

Can I triple thank you??? Yea so I think that's what I've been doing- trying to get really scientific with it. And then I end up missing fertile days. Which I am convinced a lot of women do. If you just follow the apps, you can really limit your chances (just my hunch). A woman at my spin studio told me she followed the same advice to have her three babies. 1 week after first day of your period, you start dtd every other day for 10 days. And she was well into her 30s when she started. i started by following what the app says...so far no BFP.

I saw EWCM yesterday (I think). But I also spent yesterday crying all day because everyone is pregnant. Everyone. But now I am happy my husband is such a determined guy- he basically told me to stop wallowing and to do something about it. So happy we got that in. I am really hoping to do it for the next three days which is lofty. Now I am seeing more watery CM and I think that's my indicator that O is around the corner!

Mrs. Gj how long have you been at this? When do you think you will O? I am wondering whether we are on the same cycle! I am on CD10.

I'm currently on my first cycle TTC. I've just spent time researching and paying attention to CM and O pains and around what part of my cycle that happens. I'm currently on CD 15 and 2 DPO. So I'm just barely in front of you. It definitely sounds like our cycles are similar though so I'd definitely get in as much BDing as possible. It's never a guarantee but hopefully you will at least up your chances. BTW, there are a few more ladies who's cycles are right in line with ours in the January TTC thread. You might want to take a gander there too.

Have fun and best of luck!

Thanks for all your replies, they were all very helpful. :) That article was very nice in explaining everything.

Hi there, I definitely feel when I ovulate. I was on BCP for years and when I came off them I was surprised at all the things I felt going on in my body depending on where I was in my cycle. I usually get a couple little pains/ pinching around O time and I also feel a bit bloated.

I've personally never had ovulation pains or anything about my cycle except a few days before AF when BAM I get every symptom at once. This month was our first ttc month and even though i was paying more attention I still didn't notice any pains.

Hahaha that cracked me up! Husband was thinking of BD :spermy:

Good luck to everyone and lots of :dust:
