I had 2 in my previous pregnancy as they did 2 as standard (apparently it was 2 smaller doses) and one after her birth as she is a pos blood group. Just had the one during pregnancy this time, and as others have said its fine. The midwife said it may sting but I had it in the top of my bum and apart from the initial sting as it was put in it was fine. No mark or soreness after either.
I had it at 30 weeks - in my bum! Didn't hurt at all, had to stay in the waiting room for 20mins then was off home. You then have another one after the birth if the baby is positive. Nothing to worry about at all!
I have had the shot 7 times, you will also get another one after the birth if your baby is a positive blood type. 2 of my children were + so I had to have another while in hospital. I have also had 2 miscarriages and had to have the shots after them also. As others have said easy as pie and no worries.
I had my shot at 28 weeks and am due for another at 34 weeks. I had mine in my leg though.
Wasnt very pleasant as it goes into the muscle but then again i am a wimp. Haha!!
xx
I'm a massive wuss with jabs and I've had this one already and having it again next week - it really wasn't anywhere near as bad as I was expecting and I'm not bothered about having it again next week
When i had my injection at 28 weeks they done the injection on my bum cheek, and it really didn't hurt. Which i thought it would do, but they never said about me having another one had 30+ weeks. Should i be having another one then? x
