Any other... Surprises?

Hey everyone, I'm new And I'm 19 and pregnant with my first, due in February.

Well I guess I joined this forum to help me feel less terrified by the whole experience? It's so great that everyone here is thrilled by their news!

So I'm wondering was anyone else's initial reaction sort of like :
I didn't find out until 12 weeks due to total denial? Total lack of symptoms? I don't know lol! SO it was a HUGE SHOCK pill baby! (No one warned me about antibiotics Haha)

Was anybody else completely taken unprepared? Utterly shocked and traumatised by the news? lol

Sounds the same as me.
I found out when I was 10 weeks my mom is the one who told me to take a test she knew.
I was thrilled but still so scared.
my Daughter Lyrik is 7 weeks and I love her to death.
I am so glad when i came on this site and had amazing girls to talk to.

I was 8 weeks when I found out, also a pill baby, lol.

I had the same expeirience I was on the pill as well but now I am 20 weeks pregnant with a little boy! I was really shocked and kind of depressed and scared at first but then after I felt him move for the first time and finally found out he was a boy I am now super excited! At first its hard to come to terms with but soon you will get excited about your LO! Congrats on your baby and welcome to the forum!

I'm Rachel and I'm 26 weeks along.

I definately had a shock stage, where I was just like what am I going to do!?!

But, you get over that quickly and your priorities start changing.
I found out at 4 weeks, so I've had my time to prepare myself.
I don't regret it one bit though and can't wait for my little boy to be here!

I was excited but also scared at the same time.
Congratss!!!
I didnt find out till i was 14 weeks and 5 days.
Denial and didnt have any symptoms. Was on brithcontrol and it just flatt out failed on me,

Ah thank you! This has made me feel so much better! I felt so guilty for not being totally thrilled straight away, knowing how many women struggle to get pregnant, but I am not abnormal lol

We used a condom AND I only had sex once AND I had 3 periods, so its completely unreal right now.

Hey welcome! I'm Taralyn and I'm 18.
My little girl is due September 11 &
That's exactly what happened to me!
I was on birth control and took antibiotics and even though I always had a regular period I kind of just shook it off I was spotting then didn't have a period.
I realized I was pregnant and everything but it didn't really sink in for me until a few weeks ago haha. So I was excited but kind of confused, now i absolutely can't wait for her to be here!

Hi! I wasn't supposed to be able to get pregnant as I've had ovarian problems since I was about 15 - so I was shocked and in denial pretty much my whole first trimester! lol. I really calmed down and enjoyed my 2nd trimester though, so I hope you will too!

I was in TOTAL denial as well, i found out at bout seven weeks but the day i found out i didn't tell anyone, not even OH til the end of the day [i live with him and it was so surreal for that 7/8 hours]. I just couldn't believe it, and tbh didn't want to believe it. I was so sure it would never happen to me.
However, now i couldn't be more thrilled, after the initial shock all my priorities changed [BnB helped a lot] and i couldn't be more excited about being a mummy ..xx

Welcome to BnB.
I was 18 when i found out i was expecting my daughter and 10weeks preg. I was terrified of what all my family would say (there very religious). I told the dad he left :/. I had her at 19 and although through most of the prenancy i was just scared and nervous i wouldn't change her for the world . Now i'm 34weeks preg with number 2 at 22, wouldn't recommend it haha its so tiring. But good luck and when u get over the shock you'll love all the shopping for baby clothes and things xx

Yah had my 12 week scan and heard the heartbeat at 14 weeks, gender scan on Sept 10th xxx

Anyone else finding out the sex soon?
