I have just found out I am pregnant, a bit of background I was told by my doctor I was possibly perimenopausal, I was having very early miscarriages before 6 weeks, had a breakdown of relationship so stopped ttc. Fast forward to a few months ago I decided to get a fwb we were careful using condoms but over the last week I haven’t felt great. I didn’t think too much off it because it was over a week before my period and in my head I can’t be pregnant. Lo and behold i took a test or 3 and all are positive. Fwb does not want anymore children and I am in shock. I guess I’m looking for opinions, someone to talk to? I might not even make it past the dreaded 6week mark which is making me sad but I also don’t know if I can raise a child on my own.

That's tough :hugs:
Maybe he will come around when you have the first ultrasound.

do you have family around you that would be supportive? its your body, your choice. if you want to see if this baby will stick esp after your past go for it, you are used to raising kiddos im sure you can do it. but dont let the fwb decide because chances are after this he might be gone anyway so please pick whats best for you and i hope your ok :hugs:

Thankyou both, I’m honestly stressing and I think im in shock still aswell. I don’t really want to tell him and just distance myself but I know that’s not the right thing to do. How do you tell someone you’re pregnant when you’ve been careful while dtd?

if he was using condoms then surely he knows you were being careful. just make sure before you talk to him you have decided or confident what youd like to do, or at least dont be bullied into a decision

We can tell you our opinions or what we would do but only you can decide what you feel is right for you, yes raising children can be tough but I think us women are a stronger breed (yes im sexist there sorry) but we can get through it all, I would sit down with him and tell him as redrose has said if you were careful then he nos it wasn't done intentionally xx
