Hi all,

well, there I was this morning, weighing myself before and after I got dressed, hoping that the midwife wouldn't think I'd gained too much weight (which is silly cause I've only gained like 4lbs!!!), I get to the appointment and she doesn't even mention weighing me! maybe she decided I looked ok?

anyone else not been weighed at any appointments other than booking in??

Not been weighed since booking in at 8 weeks or so and even had a second booking in last week because I moved and changed hospitals. The midwife just asked my weight pre pregnancy. I don't think that they like to make a big deal of your weight in the UK unless there is an clear problem.

I only ever got weighed at my booking in appoointment when I was pregnant x

Weighed at booking in and that's it. Same when I had my son.

x

thanks ladies! I won't worry about it in future so!!

I wasn't weighed but was told they don't bother any more as its pointless lol xx

I was proper stressing about being weighed at appointments etc and after being weighed at the 12 wk scan and having to have a lecture telling that my bmi was slightly high..SLIGHTLY and they really freaked me out and said i may have trouble getting a homebirth..after speaking to my mw she dismissed everything they said and told mw i would only be refused if i was 'MASSIVE' ..im dreading the sonographer asking me if i can jump on the scales at my scan thursday so im just hoping they wont do it or they will forget:wacko:

just at booking in appointment, belly gets measured everytime and mw says im on track if i wasnt think they would weigh me, not sure really

I was weighed at booking in and then again at my 12 weeks scan, but not since. I've been weighing myself about once a month just to keep an eye on things, mainly because I hadn't put a single pound on until last week and I was wondering when it was going to start!

Im only 20 weeks but I only got weighed at 12 weeks and thats the one and only time throughout the whole pregnancy so far. Not before and not after. I dont think Ill get weighed at 22/24 weeks either.x

My mw doesn't weigh you unless you have diabetes or are at risk of it. I was weighed at my booking in appt and the NT scan for calculations, but that was it. I weigh myself once a week to keep an eye on it. Only put 2.5lbs on, but I'm feeling huge today so expecting a big jump on Thursday. I am well overdue some weight gain though.

Only been weighed at 9weeks but been weighing myself have lost 11lbs

never been weighed, just filled in weight and height myself in notes for booking appt. i guess unless you look like there's a problem they don't bother.

question tho ladies- i had my first measurement of FH at 25wk appt, she didn't write it down or even tell me what it was...i'm assuming its normal or she'd have said. this happen to anyone else?! i woulda liked to have known, not sure how to measure it myself!!

I wonder if they've stopped weighing people in the UK? I haven't been weighed since book in appointment at 8 weeks.

Are you sure she didn't write it down? She should have marked your growth chart which is in your green notes. They measure from your pubic bone to the top of your uterus. I guess if you can feel your uterus you could check yourself. But I've never been able to tell where mine starts/ends.

that's why i can't measure myself  hehe i dunno where it ends (not sure if that's to do with anterior placenta...)

she def didnt write it or chart it. i have charts in my notes with the average lines already on them, and charts with baby's growth marked on from scan. but nothin for me...:dohh: she jst wrote BP and FHH and FMF...

i mean, everything's measuring ok, or she'd say....just wanna know if i should expect a big'un...cos i feel huuuuge for 25wks!!!!!

Im 29 weeks and the last time i got weighed was at my 12 week booking appointment. I havent weighed myself at home - have been kind of avoiding it!
