My baby boy is 10 weeks. I introduced formula pretty early on and was combination feeding - formula in day and bf at nite - due to believing my supply was low (v stressed out with anxiety attacks due to pnd) but managed to express loads 3 wks ago. Since then my supply has been low and baby won't latch on and prefers bottle  It's heartbreaking  I miss the bonding. My boobs have now deflated and aren't engorging with milk anymore.

Has any1 got success stories of getting their milk supply back? I'm going to try fenugreek. Is there anything else i can do? I pump in the evening but don't even manage 1oz from one breast and just a few drops from the other. :nope:

Any advice much appreciated. x:hugs:

Some ladies on here have done it and will be able to help. I only get 1 oz from 1 breast if I'm lucky and I exclusively bf so I don't think that is too bad! Just keep pumping as often as you can during the day and keep trying your LO to see if he will latch on. Big hugs to you, I defo think you can do it! x

pump in the morning and at regular intervals for a good 10 min each session ( dont stop just caus the milks not coming ) you have to be persistant to make your body believe that your baby is demanding the milk from you,
Good Luck hunni

Mottilium is also good, I take that and fenugreek, drink plenty of water, keep trying to latch LO on as well because their sucking encourages more to be made!!
Good luck
xx

My milk supply was down to maybe an ounce out of both boobs a few weeks ago and I embarked on a journey to up my supply and get back to breastfeeding exclusively. I've had to give formula and mix feed since then.

I'm taking motilium, drinking a couple cups of fennel tea each day, and most importantly, expressing every 2-3 hours for about 10-15 minutes each side. I do this all day but usually let myself sleep at night til baby wakes, so the night expressing is every four hours.

Since 3 weeks ago I'm now pumping about 3-4 ounces during some pumping sessions, and 2-3 ounces out of others, so definitely an improvement. I feel I'm finally at the stage where I could exclusively breastfeed baby if he would take to the breast.

My last hurdle is to get him fully off the bottle and on the breast, as he's definitely developed a preference for the bottle now as it's easier. I just keep offering the breast often and keep trying, but give him the bottle eventually as I don't want him to develop a breast aversion.

It can definitely be done, I believe, and I'm putting in the hard work to make it happen, in the hopes it will work out. Others have done it successfully and this inspires me. I now just have the last hurdle to get over.

I've heard about using nipple shields as baby may relate it to the bottle as it's made out of the same stuff. I'm going to try that, and last step would be taking the shield away and be just on the breast alone. I'll keep pumping while I do that, too.

Have faith, be optimistic, and hunker down for some hard work (the pumping/feeding/bottle thing is pretty time consuming, lol), and you can definitely do it.

Here's a great link I got from another lady on here that I found loads of information from
