All in the title. Does anyone know of any success stories with low morphology? Oh came back as everything normal but morphology only 1% :( Need hope right now. I'm so fed up and only been TTC for 16/17 months

hi, what was the count like ? we managed to conceive with 9% morphology but only had a count of 9 million sperm so not a massive amount to play with (plus low motility). admittedly it took 2 years first time around but i also have endo which the FS believe is more the issue

also has he been retested ? it can change dramatically over time

Thanks so much for reply. Your little one is beautiful in your pic hehe. His results were..

Appearance - normal
Liquefacation - normal
Viscosity - normal
Volume 2.9
PH 8
Agglutination 0
Sperm count 31.5
Leucocytes < 1
Progressive 52%
Non-progressive 15%
Immotile 33%
Morphology
Normal Sperm 1%

He has done 2 since, a week apart, got another appointment on 17th Jan to find out the results from that. 1% is so dramatic though, I cant see there being much of a difference :( what are your symptoms of endo? xx

Hi didnt want to R&R. OH and I have been ttc for 20 months now - OH is low on everything - cant remember exact figures but pretty much half of what it should be. At our last appointment OH was diagnosed with a varicocele which is likley to be causing this so he is having another SA tomorrow and waiting for an ultrasound to see what's going on.

Im interested to see other people response to your thread x

i didn't actually have any endo symptoms, i do now though ! i had surgery to remove a large endometrioma plus they lasered off endo from other locations and i now get excrutiating ovulation pain, bad pain when i have AF and lots of bowel issues (i have it on my rectovaginal septum and uterosacral ligament which they were unable to remove - i only recently found this out, i thought they had got rid of everything !). sex is also pretty uncomfortable (which is making ttc again rather awkward)

i have heard of people getting amazingly different results second or third time around - if his second isn't much better it's probably waiting a month or so and retesting as it takes a while to make new sperm and it could just be that he was ill when the current batch were being created

I get bad ovulation pain, couldn't even sit down, pass wind or have a bowel movement (so sorry) it was excruciating. Was just as bad during af. It's not as bad now though for some reason. Slight pain during sex especially ovulation. It's since I came off the patch August 2010. Never had pain before. Worries me slightly :-/ I'm hoping the results are massively improved next time but then I'll be worrying about what's up with me :-/ thanks so much for your reply again. Xxx

I am in the same situation and am on a dietary mission offensive now! I have been reading up on a natural fertility website about supplements herbs and suoerfoods (dramatic sounding!) and I am going to try that. OH won't know what's hit him lol. It's worth a go. On a plus note we have a son o 4.5 yrs old and prior to that a miscarriage so we know what he has works. It's just been 2 yrs of ttc now with no luck. We saw a urologist who was literally scratching his head and asking if my OH had been exposed to radiation since out sons birth-er no! So despite a low count all round something worked?!
Bring on the power smoothies!! Good luck Sarahlou and all of us xx

We got BFP with 6% morphology and 45 million count with about 40% motility.

SAs should be about 3 months apart as that's how long it takes for sperm to regenrate. A week apart won't technically be conclusive.

Wishing you lots of :dust:

Dh and I got a BFP with 4% morphology. Original test December 10 showed 2% and SA in May 11 showed 4%. four months later, we got our bfp!

I find myself in a similar situation. SA shows good count (223 million) and motility (65%) and very low morphology (2%). Most boards I am finding are leaving me very concerned and thinking we will never conceive. He has his second test in a few weeks.

The way the nurse told me was awful. All she said was things don't look good, but when I asked her for more info she told me she isn't an RE and cant give me any sort of numbers, %'s, advice.

So now we are playing the waiting game. I have been having issues ovulating regularly, that is why we were having the test done, I had never guessed it would be him too. Of course this month I got a positive ovulation test.

Any success stories out there would be so nice to hear.

We literally signed a contract for our dream home (made for 2 kids) 1 day before they gave me the results, results that they had the week prior but called to tell me that the dr's notes were illegible and would have to call me back (wtf why would they even call to tell me they had the results then??)

I am completely lost right now. I want nothing more than to get a bfp :(
