Hi Ladies, I am not new to this site but I am new to this forum. I am writing to ask for advice from some of you ladies who have also experienced LTTTC.
Here is a brief overview on my background; my husband and I have been TTC since Nov of 2012. After 15 months, I got my first ever positive HPT in Jan of 2014. I had my first US in Feb of 2014 after several days of light bleeding and found out I was miscarrying. I passed the baby 3 weeks later.
At the time of my first US it was discovered that I had a cyst on each ovary. I was told that cysts are common during pregnancy and to follow up in May. I had another US in May which showed the cyst on my left ovary was gone but the cyst on my right ovary was still there. My Dr. stated that cysts do not have any affect on conceiving. She scheduled another follow up in July. However, because of the cyst, my Dr. stated that it would not be safe to start fertility treatments.
I was also told that after a MC women are very fertile and that I actually might have an increased chance of conceiving. It has now been 3 months since my MC so therefore it does not seem this was the case for me.
At this point, after 20 months of TTC, I am feeling beyond hopeless. I am willing to try anything in order to conceive.
Do any of you ladies have any advice or suggestions for conception after long term trying? Is there any certain thing you did differently one month that resulted in conception?
I am sorry this is so long. Any feedback would be very appreciated!

Hey, I am so sorry for your loss :hugs:
Have you gone through fertility testing, to see why it is taking so long.
I have PCOS so I know why it is taking me so long. I can relate to you, after 33 months TTC I finally conceived (on clomid, first round) only to lose the baby 6w2d :growlmad:
After the MC I researched a lot, and came across a paleo diet and tried it. I have seen great improvements in my cycle (usually every 3-4 months apart but now every month since miscarriage!) I wasnt even doing paleo 100%, more like 70%. Look into it, I believe it will help you! If you have any hormonal imbalances, this will help.
I am on my first month back TTC with clomid(doc wanted me to wait three cycles before going back on clomid) I believe this diet will help me conceive.

Hey SteadFast so sorry for your loss. :hugs:

I have never had a positive HPT but I just wanted to let you know that when I went private for a second opinion before IVF, the doctor did a scan and found a possible cyst on my right ovary. I was to go back in a month to get it checked and when I did a different doctor couldn't see anything. But when I did my IVF I had huge follies but was told they may be cysts. It turns out they were when I went for egg collection. But they never batted an eyelid about them, never said they need sorted or anything so I assume they thought they were ok. I am unexplained.

At the moment I have started acupuncture and herbs. Maybe that could be something you can look into as well as diet.

Kiwilove, that is interesting about the paleo diet. I have heard great things about a gluten free diet which I am trying to follow but it is so hard as so may gluten free foods are contaminated....it's mad. Would be interested to see how you get on.
