Any Thoughts

I am 8 plus 6 today but the night before last I began to have cramps i thought that it was constipation (sorry if tmi) but after going to the bathroom it didn't help the cramping woke me up a couple of times so i put it down to growing pains yesterday they continued throught out the morning and then i felt something warm when i went to the bathroom there was bright red blood, with cramping and some clots i called my ob who was able to see me that afternoon by the time i got there there was only pink no clots and the cramping had completely stopped she did an u/s and we saw a baby with a strong heartbeat they think that the placenta hit a blood vessel and that is what was causing the bleeding, spent all afternoon resting
today i woke up with no bleeding and no cramping or anything I just wanted to know if there are any ladies that have gone through this and everything worked out ok my dr didn't seem too concerned and just told me to take it easy i have an other apt in 2 weeks. is the fact that the baby is growing and with a healthy heart beat a good sign and this is just one of those things? thanks for any thoughts

It's a great sign they saw the heartbeat, the risk of miscarriage falls dramatically after the heartbeat is seen, lots of women bleed in pregnancy and go on to have healthy babies. So try not to worry x

This hasn't happened to me personally, but I've seen loads of women go through this and have healthy babies x

I think its a good sign you saw beartbeat. I would take it easy the next few days

I actually had that happen to me twice around the eight week mark in my pregnancy and now have a happy and healthy 4.5 month old. My doctor told me it was very normal at that stage of pregnancy. Rest up and take it easy and try not to worry. Hope it goes well for you

Ladies thank you all for your words they really reassured me I have had no more bleeding or cramping since that day someone in an other forum mentioned break through bleeding and it sound like that is what happened praying that everything continues to go well congrats to you ladies about to deliver or are newly pregnant, Matilda congrats on your baby boy,

i also agree that it could be break through bleeding. mine wasn't bright red but i did have spotting around the time i would have gotten my period. 8 weeks and the again at 12.
