So... I am waiting to go through mc number 2. I had a mmc nov 13 at 11 weeks (baby measured 6.5 weeks) I am now waiting for second miscarriage to happen (bo I should be 9 weeks but ust empty sac). Obviously keen to ttc asap as been trying now for 3 years and I'll be 35 ina couple of months. Ds was a soy baby but gonna try vitex this time I think. Is there anything else I can be doing to increase my chance of bfp and a viable pregnancy?

I'm so sorry for your loss! I'm in the same boat... early 30s, two MCs... I don't seem to have problems getting pregnant, just staying pregnant. :(

Have you had your progesterone levels tested while pregnant? They may be low.

I really wish I could help. I'm in the same boat. 2 miscarriages in a year however I'm 39. Am seeing the dr in a couple of weeks so will certainly let you know if she says anything useful that I can pass on. We are determined to try again next cycle. The only thing I do know is that once you have had 2 miscarriages then you have fortnightly u/s so they monitor you more closely. Little comfort except like you on my last one I was nearly 11 weeks with just the sac so I guess you know where you stand every step of the way. Best of luck and I'll let you know what she says

Looking forward to hearing what your doc says, Confused! Mine wouldn't even see me under 8 weeks when I explained that I was high-risk and had multiple MCs, was pregnant and spotting, and wanted my progesterone tested. I MC'd that one at 5 weeks, well after I'd begged for an early appointment. If they won't see me earlier next time, I am definitely switching clinics.

I'm not sure doctors will test for anything as I have already got 3 children with no problems. The nurse at the epu said its unlikely I would get a referral for any testing. As to whether they will keep a close eye next time? We'll see. I am generally considered high risk anyway but until 16 weeks I don't get any extra.. be interesting to see what happens if we get lucky again...

Hey nugget, I wrote to you on the other thread saying everyone , including doctors, thought my losses were bad luck because I have two kids. I had testing anyway, and got my first results back and turns out I have thyroid antibodies, despite my thyroid functioning properly, and this doubles my chances of a loss. I'm being started on thyroxine as this has been shown to help. So just goes to show, if you feel you should be tested push for it.

As for tips to help conceive, I think softcups really helped with my last two bfps.

Thanks steph. We had appointment today at hospital and booked on fo erpc on friday. They won't offer testing as I have 3 children already and I appear able to get pregnant. They said this is just bad luck!
