Hi
My friend and I are in the same position.. A toddler each (2) and a newborn (she's had hers and I'm over due)! She's finding she can't put her newborn down anywhere with the toddler trying to do things to the baby when it's trying to settle. I've suggested a cot to put Moses basket in has anyone else got any ideas please? Thanks

What about a travel cot for the new baby - either on it's own or to put the Moses basket inside. I've also put up an extra stair gate into the little room that I have the baby changing station in. It's an office come utility, and Eva delights in racing in and grabbing anything that she shouldn't have - that way I can change the new baby in peace, but not be closing the door on Eva either. Or if you have a play room, what about a stair gate across the door to it so that the toddler can be kept separate at times?

My friend has a big play yard like, this:

I didn't bother, the novelty of a new baby wears off pretty quick I found, after a few days they just did their own thing and apart from popping over to say hi to baby sometimes they left her alone. It was the same when I had my 2nd too x x x

I bought a playpen thing for my 21 month old. Its full of toys. Most of the time i leave the gate open so he is free to come in and out. But when i need to i close the gate, e.g. If i need to leave the room. Hes fine with it he just sits and plays

My DD was quite good, if we told her that her brother was sleeping then she left him alone. She did sometimes get noisy but mainly she was good (she isn't normally, she just seemed to realise not to push it at this time). DS ended up with such bad reflux problems it didn't really matter anyway, he struggled to go to sleep without someone rocking him or cuddling him.

I'd say leave it and see, your lo may not be anything like your mates when it comes to the new one. Good luck

both stokke and fisher price do a high chair that suitable for newborns. we got one for this bubba so i know he safely out the way if i need to pop to the loo.

if not a play pen or something for the toddler?
