Anybody go into labor after a cervical check?

Hey there, I had a cervical check today, I've had them before but this time I'm cramping really bad and having lots of tightening feelings, contractions? I was only 1cm dilated and have heard cramping is very common after these things, did anybody get tossed into labor by getting checked?

Im in early labor now from my check today lol. Im 2 1/2cm and 70% effaced at like 3pm. Had constant cramping for about 2 hrs now im having mild contractions every 15-20 mins... so id say yes it def can happen!!! My MW even told me that withing the next 24-48 hrs I could go into full blown labor from being checked...my boys so low that when she stuck her 2 fingers into my cervix she could feel his head thru my waters....really creepy but neat and exciting all at once lol

I was wondering the same thing as I had an internal today....But I have not had any cramping/bleeding/other effects (yet) as a result.

I was not dilated at all, but my cervix is very soft and LOs head can easily be felt as he is very low already.

Well poo my cramping has sort of subsided so I'm guessing for me it didn't work. I was pretty hopeful because it was really hurting but it's gone away with a Tylenol congrats waiting I can't wait to see pics of your baby !

Mine pretty much went away too till i went to walmart to do grocery shopping and walked around for a good bit...started back up right away so maybe u should try a good long walk. I convinced DH to DTD with me 2nite so hopefully itll fully kick things into gear lol
