I am.

Been TTC for baby # 1 for more than a year now.
I've been feeling that I'd finally get my BFP this month but...got my period today *sigh*

So it's off to another cycle. *big sigh*

we have been TTC #1 for 2 yrs 7 months now i took my 1st round of clomid yesterday...
Have u been to a FS?

We have and everything came back normal for both my hubby and I so the FS wasnt able to tell us why we havent got preggo yet. I have a normal cycle and do O on my own... Lets see how this month goes

Hi Yellowbell & Waitingtobe - YES!! We've been TTC for 20 cycles...

We're waiting for SA results and have first appointment with FS next week... not sure whether I want to hear that everything is fine and we just keep going or that there is a reason that we're not having any success - that might sound odd, but if there is a reason at least we can look at addressing it or accepting it and move on!

It's a rough road! And I'm having a particularly bumpy day today!

@ bookworm i know what u mean! I think i would have preferred that our FS said this is the problem this is what u have to do to fix it but instead we are clueless as to why no bby yet and it is very hard at times :(

Hope all goes well in ur appt with the FS :)

You and I are the same age and you've been trying 2 months longer than me. I just wondered how long you plan on leaving it before you on get some medical advice? Hubby and I decided if we don't get our :bfp: this month we're going to see the doc. But I'm so scared!!!

Hello we have been trying for 15 months now and went to see FS last week, i got to lose weight and have another appointment in August so i am trying my best to lose weight now and trying to forget about TTC which is not easy as my best friend is expecting her second and another friend at work got her BFP today after 2 cycles! I am sooooooooooooooo happy for them both i just want our turn!

We will get there ladies i am sure xxx

Hi ladies,

Nellyville and those in UK, just wanted to warn you that the reception you get at the docs could depend on what your local PCT are funded to provide. I was told yest at my docs (went for something else but mentioned my frustration at being 6 ms into ttc) that my local NHS won't even consider doing any tests until you've been trying for at least two years :growlmad:

I think it's a still a year in some places but apparently my local rules just changed in Dec 2010. Boo!! At first I felt really mad, but then I thought well if this is how it is then I'm going to have to chill out as there's no way I can continue with this level of obsessing for two years- ha ha!

My GP told me that the reason they've extended the time period is because "a significant number of couples who don't fall pregnant in the first year, will in the second"- oh joy!! Let's hope we all get our turn before the two year mark- really admire you girls who have been trying longer than me, got my fx for you xxx

Yep 13 cycles and i really think i'll be heading to cycle 14 next week :(

I've heard that most couples get pregnant around 18 months. Who knows but I think they should atleast have a look at you just to make sure its nothing crazy. I have my appt. soon and I'm so nervous. I hate the doctors but it must be done. I feel like I'm playing a game of Russian Roulette!

Hi! Just wanted to say I know where your coming from (have been ttc for last 8mos) and it is easy to give up hope. I definitely have my moments! Sending optimism and best wishes your way. Just know that you are NOT alone!

My gyno made us wait until we had been ttc for 18 months before sending us to a FS...

Cycle 27 here! Though we haven't been tested yet as, while we didn't use protection at all for a year and 8 months, we've only been actually TTC (ie intentionally trying to BD when fertile) for about 8 cycles. Will give it 4 or 5 more and then seek help.

My dh and I did the same thing. We did it normally with no charts just hoping it would happen. After a few years nada. I started charting but we are going in to see someone next week. FX all is well. I'm nervous but it will be a relief to know whats going on in my body.

We have been ttc #1 for over 5 years. I always tell people to not waste time by not seeking medical help. I didnt even see a doc until the 4 year mark. HUGE mistake on my part. I am about to move on to a specialist now. Hopefully it wont be to much longer for all of us ladies!:flower:

On Cycle 24 , TTC 2 year annivesary  Currently in 2ww with some symptoms, but not really wanting to give any attention to the symptoms...just not looking forward to Cycle 25...Well this is the one part of me talking.

Now the second: The fact that I am here reading and contributing to this site, means I am serious and hopefull. Still after 2 years, my body still tricks me in the TWW :haha: I would love to know the power of the mind!

Will be 35 in two weeks too, and starting to worry that I left it so late...I am with you all and holding thumbs for each and every one.

Hi ladies,

Thank you so much for all your responses and encouragements.
We've seen the FS.
DH's SA result was not good, he's got low count, low motility, 1% morphology.
We've tried IUI without medication last November and it didn't work.
I was just starting some tests, started with the Progesterone test and my results was low so I guess that means I'm not ovulating. Although I don't really think it was accurate because my bloodtest was done on Day 23 but I ovulate late so I think the test should've been done on a later date.
I haven't proceeded with the other tests like HSG.
Right now, we're taking a hold on Western medicine and trying out traditional chinese medicine. I've also started taking my BBT.
I'm really still hoping that we'd conceive naturally and I do have a feeling we would...just that it's really hard not to be down when you hear about friends and relatives popping out babies left and right without any effort.

Anyhow, let's not give up! We WILL have our miracles! Just believe.
Here's baby dust to us all.
:dust:

@ yellowbell i can relate to you on the wanting to concive naturally i'm in a similar situation. Although all our our test have came back normal (blood work, ultra sounds, HSG & Hubbys SA) the doctor is not sure why we havent been abe to conceive. She did recomend AI as a choice but as of right now that is not something we want to look into. Maybe if we hit our 3 yrs mark in Sept we will look into it a little more.

Best of luck to all :)

been TTC about 11 months now, had bloods done and a scan all came back fine, they want OH to do a SA but my PCT doesn't allow it on the NHS anymore so we're saving up for the test as we have to go private :( wont be till at least june we'll be able to do the test :(

Our insurace didnt cover my hubbys SA so we had to pay out of pocket
We paid $125 last year... Good to know his swimmers are in great condition ;)
