Im really dreading all the bleeding wearing big pads and things that come with all the after effects of birth :( its coming fast. Im due in less than a month and im really dreading it. I never wore pads for my periods im more of a tampon girl. Pads make me feel absolutely yucky and tmi but im also dreading wearing panties to bed they are so uncomfortable...lol

I think when it comes you'll just be glad there is something to soak it all up :haha: I've heard it can be a massive bleed after birth so ive stocked up. Was a tampon girl myself before pregnancy and I know what you mean about feeling unclean, I used to have to have wipes when I used pads as I just felt gross otherwise :haha: I doubt you'll be too bothered though..

Gosh, I feel so uneducated about pregnancy and all that comes along with it... I had no idea you bled after birth! I thought you sorta just... popped it out, delivered whatever is left, got cleaned up and then went home the next day...

But I totally agree with you on the wearing undies to bed part. I absolutely hate wearing them too! :haha:

I wasn't worried about any of that. Then I read this. Uh oh.

if you breastfeed the bleeding is less

Not always lol. My mum breast fed and she said her's went on for days and really heavy like a massive period  I guess it's another one of those things where everyone experiences different things. I'm most likely gonna take after my mum, yucky! :(

I thought it was really heavy regardless of anything. And doesn't it have clots in it? :S
Oh well. We'll be too engrossed in our gorgeous babies to be too concerned lol

It's not that bad.. just like a big long period lol. As long as you change your pad really frequently then you shouldn't feel too unclean. :) xx

definitely! I'm a tampon girl all the way, wore pads for the first few days of my very first period and felt like I was wearing a dirty diaper  I'm absolutely dreading that more than labour itself :haha: BUT at least I'll have her here to distract me.

Me! I always used tampons and sometimes put a pad on just in case. I would never rely on just a pad. =/ I am gonna feel pretty horrible and I'll be worried about leaking. :(

I am dreading the whole bleeding after, everything about it, I dread.

Ahh i know what you mean
I had a bloody show the other day and ever that sent me funny because i havent bled in so long
best bet is to just wear comfortable underwear and clothes so it feels less noticeable for you
xx

Bridget jones pants ladies! lol
im not really dreading it that much because i usta use pads before pregnancy, just change them all the time and carry wipes and its okay..
i found i just couldnt use tampons, they just didnt agree with me lol
x

Honestly it is not that bad!
I bled an awful lot (as I haemorraged, enough said) and if you stock up, you can just change them all the time

Also, as funny as it sounds, I was quite glad for the cushioning :haha:

trust me its the padding you want!

i didnt bleed too much just make sure you stock up on them tho i went through so many much more than i thought

So dreading all the thing s that come after vaginal delivery moreso that the actual delivery. Ugh hemmeroids peeing yourself looking like ive been butchered down there bleeding pooing first time im so scared

As someone said earlier, by breastfeeding, it can reduce the amount of time you bleed for...also, it helps your womb contract to pre-preg size quicker.

there's nothing wrong with the pads, infact it's better i'd rather wear pads than a tampon especially when you might be sore after birth. :flower:
