Right so, as the title really. I am thinking about it.

He is dairy free and recently wheat free and vomits so so much. He was on reflux meds when younger but not for a long time now as the vomiting doesn't bother him (as in pain) anymore and I would rather he not have meds.
He can't have thickners like gaviscon as it constipates him badly and already suffers anyway. Carobel he reacted badly to. So I am wondering about a bit of rice to thicken it? But I am worried about it constipating him more...

Would have no idea how much to put in though or if it'd even work! x

Would it not be better to spoon feed before a bottle? Where are you at when weaning?

Putting anything in a bottle is a choking hazard. I agree with Atomic Pink, I'd probably try giving some right before a bottle.

Fully weaned. He does eat before the milk usually but it doesn't help him. He is still 'vomit boy' as my 3 year old calls him!
I have read loads about the choking hazzard thing but usually more for a younger, not yet weaned child. I have made bymistake far too runny baby rice many times and there is nothing there my 8 month old would choke on I think, but obv his safety is first. I think I will ring his dietician tomorrow x

I do think, if the milk after food doesn't work right now, then I doubt rice will help much more I'm afraid. It's definitely one for the dietician. And I really feel for you, I remember those days too well! :hugs:

I did to help with daughter's reflux, and it did help. I only did it on recommendation from her pediatrician though and would always suggest getting advice from doctor first.
