Anyone avoiding Obsessive POAS Frustration

Hi there,

I know I only have myself to blame as noone forces me to go to the bathroom and poas, but I cant seem to help it at least once a day in the 2ww. Of course everyday I get a BFN...
I was just wondering, is this normal?, does anyone here manage to wait till AF to be late before testing? If so do you have any tips on how to avoid the poas urge.

I've already POAS at 3dpo (or 5dpo depending on which dip I believe!), knowing full well it won't show anything even if I am in for a lucky month!

I have heard there are people who wait, wish I had their patience!

Haha, I also poas on 3dpo and 4dpo This is my first 2ww so i'm feeling especially impatient! I don't have any tips for resisting the urge, except maybe to keep busy to take your mind off it, push the thoughts/urge to poas away as soon as they pop into your head, think about how much money you're wasting on tests that you could be spending on your new baby, and as a last resort, just don't keep any tests in the house... I usually don't start going POAS crazy until 7-10dpo and I go nuts!

I waited till AF was late most months, just try any occupy your time with other things, throw all your tests away and dont buy any till at least 12dpo x

6DPO and already tested today and yesterday - both BFN's bit no surprise there eh lol!

Have bought a few BOGOF's this month which is how im justifying it!

Every day since 6dpo, all bfn, 12 dpo now. Feels like AF is coming soon but my AF symptoms are really messed up so I'm just waiting her out.

POAS every day really does drive you nuts.

I am usually fantastic at waiting until I am officially late until I start testing and I usually do this by making sure I only have expensive HPT in the house.

This cycle I have become addicted to BBT and I have some IC OPK and HPT in the house. As I had a dip 7 days ago that FF first thought was ovulation (changed it to 2 days later this morning grrrr) I am tempted to go use an OPK now as have read they will pick up sooner then HPT. I am now clock watching and really tempted to try in 30 minutes! Save me from myself!

TBH I don't hold much sway with it. I will test with a IC HPT when fertility friend advises and pray the doesn't show before then!

I'm only 3 dpo, and in my first 2ww and I've already tested! Trying to hold out till I'm at least 6 dpo, as I have some cheap 10Miu tests from eBay. I certainly won't last the week and a half till AF is due!

Wouldn't it be grand? I swore I would wait till Wednesday (when I'll be 6dpo), still couldn't resist the POAS urge this morning! obviously!

I've resisted the urge this month - due AF either in 2 days or 4 days time - irregular cycles that vary between 30-32 days! I am seriously fighting the urge though today and the thought has crossed my mind that I should hit the chemist and but a FRER test but I am going to use what willpower I have and hold out until Saturday. Although if I'm honest the only real reason I haven't tested is because I have no PG tests in my house LOL
