I am currently in the tww. I am 7 dpo and yesterday was just diagnosed with primary biliary cirrhosis. I haven't found much online whether you can still have a baby with this. I don't see a specialist about it for a week or so and am kind of freaking out. Any info on whether pregnancy is ok or any info is greatly appreciated. The dr yesterday didnt tell me much. Most I know about it, I've read online.

My mother in law has it. She was only diagnosed last year so not 100% sure about the ins and outs of pregnancy with the condition however we read a lot about it at the time and have read about women having healthy pregnancies with the condition. She joined the pbc society, and has found a lot of support and guidance from that. I will give her a buzz later and find out the details to pass on to you xxx

Thank you for your response. As it turns out my dr may have been wrong in diagnosing me. I saw a specialist and he doesn't think that's what I have and honestly doesn't know why my pcp said I did. There was nothing in my blood work that suggested it. I have to do some
More tests to figure out exactly what is going on.

It's unusual to be diagnosed if you're less than 40years old I think. She had antibodies in her blood that confirmed the diagnosis. But the reason they suspected if was she had unusual clotting blood results and high cholesterol. Hope u get the answers u are after. Good luck to you xxx

I had blood work done because I've had bad itching And really dark urine. My blood work showed elevated liver enzymes, but my alkaline phosphate was normal (which isn't on pbc) and had bilirubin in my urine. She didn't even test for antibodies, but still told me matter of factly that I had it, no doubt about it. So here I was for 4 days thinking I had it and didn't have any information on it, other than reading about it online. Everything online sounded pretty scary too! I now am showing positives on hpt's, and really really hope to get whatever's going on figured out and hope to have pbc completely ruled out!
