Me and my boyfriend are going away with my family and some family friends next may to Turkey, after such a horrible year, we need it! I've been there lots of times, twice a year from a young baby but we're going to a different part this time. The hotel is called 'Alba Queen' and it's in Colakli, near Side. It looks really nice but it's hard to find someone that's actually been there! I've looked on some holiday review websites but i want to talk to someone that's been there as i've got a few questions :)

If not, can anyone suggest a hotel? It's got to be family friendly with loads going on (kids club, entertainment team, etc) and all inclusive but not real expensive, we're hoping to pay around 2 grand for two rooms (1 with two adults and a 6 year old, one with 2 adults) which is the price we've been quoted for the Alba Queen .. :) thanks x

Hey hun I go to Turkey but I've never been to Colakli. I've never heard of the Alba Queen either have you tried posting a thread on the forum on TripAdvisor? Maybe someone who's been might read it and reply?
Are you going for 1 week or 2?
As for all inclusive family hotels - 2 grand for 2 rooms is really cheap! Especially AI. We're going to Belek in a few weeks and we've paid over £5,000 for 4 adults, 2 children and a baby in 2 rooms - And that's with 2 free child places and an infant that's free too! But we are going to a 5* ultra AI (meaning we get more included than normal AI ei. Watersports, Room service, Laundry etc.)
My best friend is a travel agent and specialises in Turkey as she loves it there and lived over there for a while, so I'll ask her if she's heard of it for you x

I went to saregme in turkey last year it was lovely i want to go back

I've been, it's gorgeous! Marmaris is great for kids and pretty cheap. My sister stayed in a 3 star hotel but said it was more like a 4 star and was more than adequate.

We went to Antalya and stayed in a 5 star hotel, it was something like £380pp all inclusive and really great. Only downside was that it's quite a remote area, but still gorgeous and it had a kids pool with slides and I'm sure if we've bothered to leave the resort we would of found more stuff to do haha. The hotel I think was called Hotel Laphetos? Worth having a google. x

Ohh gosh the men!! Last time I thought I was being over paranoid when I saw all the hotel staff staring at me all the time in the restaurant but I made friends with one of the bus boys that the others treated like crap. He's lovely I still talk to him a lot (he's since quit) and he said I wasn't paranoid at all..I was given roses and waited on hand on foot and every other family we met were complaining about how they could never get service thought it was a little weird at the time  And I was auctioned off in a shopping centre while I was standing with my pushchair for the rest of my family for 34 camels - I'm hoping they were joking or they got ripped off  and one guy hit my LO because we wouldn't go in his shop! I was livid he didn't see me coming I went crazy! He was only 19 months and in his pushchair and his friend apologised and hit the guy back. There are some lovely ones though my LO has long blonde hair (like me) and everywhere we went they were talking to him and giving him sweets and presents. This one old lady didn't look like she had 2 pennies to rub together and she went into the shop and bought a bar of chocolate for him - She couldn't speak English but I know abit of Turkish and she was saying he was beautiful and said a Turkish blessing (my friend translated that one). I did keep in contact with 5 of the none weird hotel workers one who took me out to see everything in the area with his friends.x

I haven't been where your going but I went to Kudasai when I was seven and it was the worst holiday ever. It was mining, their were homeless people playing with themselves in the street right beside me and my little brother, and a turkish man offered my dad 2 camals and a car for me! Haha! He said he'd make me marry his son when I turned 14 and we've have beauitful babies haha! I used to be blonde at that age and apparently they go mad for blonde girls and women

When we got back from our first nightmare in Turkey we booked up for Benidorm and we told the travel agent about how we hated Turkey, she couldn't believe someone had booked us for Kudasai she said it was a dump but everywhere else is Turkey was lovely. My family later went to Marmaris and they loved it! It was the last place my Grandad went before he died and he raved about it. We've been to other places there too now and they've all been fantastic, just don't go to Kudasai! :nope:

I know what you mean about Antalya! As I said, i've been to Turkey many many times but last time we went, we stayed in Belek which is in Antalya and the hotel resorts are really good in general but it's nice to have a walk at night and we couldn't in this part!

Haha yep, I love turkish baths! That's the thing, the men turn all flirty with every young girl I think but it's funny at the time!

I have been to tusla a suburb of Istanbul, was a bit cold- and I was there as my OH was on a business trip there, as the dry docks are off the coast of there.

I have only been to Istanbul, which is very different (from what I hear) to the rest of Turkey, really huge, beautiful, international city. People were wonderful and polite, food was amazing, and there were so many activities and attractions. Plus they love kids and little babies, they go ga-ga over them, people will acooomidate any need when it comes to babies..
Men were not particularly interested in me or I didn't notice, maybe because I'm small and brunette? They like the North European type (blond blue eyed, tall and big boobies) I think. The people I met there were not peasants with camels so I wouldn't know about proposals like you guys had. I didn't even know Turkey has camels, I think the camels are in N Africa.

I know how different it is out there. Can you speak some turkish? xx

I was lucky enough to live in Fethiye :D and I had my honeymoon in Side. It's nice, hot and the people are really lovely.
There's Apollos temple down the bottom end past all the restaurants, but try to go at night as it's packed out during the day. Enjoy !
