Hey peeps. I'll happily gas away to my pals when we meet up. But i really have to push myself to talk when on my own with LO!

I am quite happy to just sit with her in my arms, cuddle and laze out. But i have to make a conscious effort to ramble! Makes me feel like such a bad mum!

When my son was a small baby I used to whisper to him instead of speaking in a normal volume voice. This was because I just felt weird speaking to someone who didnt speak back and having a one way conversation, if that makes sense? Once he started trying to speak himself though I stopped the whispering, lol. xxx

I am too! I have to make an effort to speak. I try to narrate what I am doing and sing what I am doing, but sometimes I suddenly realize it's been hours since I have spoken a word and I feel horrible!

I'm the same, I have to make a conscious effort to talk all the time to LO. It's fine if we're outside and there's things to provoke a thought, and point out and explain, but when we're in the house I find myself being a bit quieter. There's only so many times I can say, "oh look, yes, that's the red square. Rrrrreeeeed Square. How about the blue triangle over here...the Blllluuuuuueee Triangle!" before I start feeling mental.

My sister is very quiet, but her 3 year old is a real chatterbox.

You give your LO the love, and that's more important.

I'm exactly the same, find it so hard to just talk to Maria, especially as she usually ignores me anyway.

I usually only talk to Holly to tell her off :haha: I do seem to spend an inordinate amount of time singing to her though. I have conversations in song, it's the only way she listens, but we get funny looks when we're in public...

I have to make a conciosu effort too. But I do tend to sing to her! I also try to read to her, even if she doesn't understand, at least she hears my voice :winkwink:

I'm the same, I have to make an effort to talk to my LO... I don't think that silence is bad :)
