At my midwife appointment yesterday she told me baby is now fully engaged and to one million percent expect an October baby based on a few other factors as well (mild contractions ect), she did say 3rd babies dont 'usually' engage this soon, let alone fully engage, it does happen obviously but it's not as common. She will basically eat her words if baby is a November baby :haha: she felt my tummy and said he feels like an good size in there, but I still have my growth scan today just to check up on his size, as by fundal height I'm measuring a week behind (from being engaged) but on scans I'm measuring weeks ahead!

Any else had 3rd babys fully engage so soon? How many weeks did you get to? Its only 4 more days until I'm 36 weeks and she said he would be completely fine being born then

Fingers crossed for october babies! From early on our pregnancy and symptoms have almost mirrored each other! :)

I would be very appreciate to not go to 40 weeks or overdue haha! I was overdue with both of my last children by 4 days, this full pregnancy has just been bizarre.
Feels like I’ve had strong BH’s since 16 weeks, I never lost a plug with the first two yet I’ve lost plug a couple of days ago with this one, I’ve had so much pressure and pains down below this time, I just feel like I’ve noticed that I’m pregnant a hell of a lot more if that makes sense haha!
This time has just been pain after pain, baby’s been head down since 20 weeks and engaged since last Wednesday, I’m just praying he will not go past his due date haha!!
Halloween baby would be nice X

I was with my second but he popped back out again and got stuck on my hip bone :dohh:

Also I’m finding it so hard to walk anywhere.
I don’t know if anyone else gets this, but when I walk my belly muscles go into a sort of spasm.
Not like a cramp as such but imagine when you get sudden leg spasm and you have to stretch it out a certain way to relieve it and it’s so painful?
The equivalent to that in my stomach.
Whether I walk for 5 minutes or 45 minutes I end up in agony all over my stomach and I can’t walk any further! X

Yeah walking is a big struggle! I'm walking like a shit myself honestly

So... interesting update at my growth scan, I'm now following my dates (except for fetal length) which is great. They did say he probably wont be the beast we all thought earlier on (estimating now around 9lb 2 at full term, so I'm not sure if they meant full term as 37 weeks or full term as in 40 weeks) which isn't bad at all if he does come at 37 weeks lol no issue with him being a big baby, he is top end of the chart but he probably wont be the 10 pounder we all thought! Hallelujah

BUT they did have a giggle and said I will be giving birth to an anaconda, they said his length is off the percentile chart, is that even possible? Never heard of this? My partner is 6ft 4 though so hes definitely following him, they think all that extra weight on the baby is because he is much much longer than average, I can see my birth being like that magicians trick where he pulls them colourful tissues out of his pocket and they keep going and going and going.... so hes not going to be a fat baby, just tall, and that's fine with me

According to my growth scans baby is on the small average side, and was estimated at 5lbs 14oz at 36+6 but the femur and humerus lengths were off the charts.

Sounds like he is going to be tall!

That's Interesting! I've never had any of my kids be off the chart with anything, even my daughter now at 7 shes on the 99.9th centile or something like that, like top end but never over it!

According to the measurements I heard them call out yesterday, the length was obviously off the scale, his tummy I cant remember what that is abreviated too when calling out, but head circumference was bang on, femur length was very very not bag on and way over and his tummy was quite big, well I guess he has to have something to carry around on them long legs of his

I'm laughing, because I'm thinking, it's not so much that he's engaged... he's just so tall, and running out of space, it looks like he's engaged because he's got nowhere else to go :haha::haha:

That's exactly what we've all said!!! He doesn't have a choice but to be engaged the poor boy must have been so uncomfortable when he all in the tum

I've been engaged super early as well. 38 weeks and still pregnant and no contractions yet but I think she's so long that it probably was uncomfortable to be curled up in my stomach.

I was fully engaged at 33 weeks. Was told I wouldn't see term. I had her 3 days early by induction but I would have gone other otherwise. She was my 3rd. Unfortunately being engaged doesn't mean early baby :(
