It just seems strange to me that she will not nap. My son napped at her age. She just won't settle during the day at all. In the beginning she had her days and nights mixed up and we kept her up. We had to do the same with my son but he still napped and we encourage her to nap. She will over do herself until she is tired and cranky and has to be put to bed by 7pm. Will she eventually get to where she will stay up later? I feel like I have to come home and put her straight to bed :(.

DD is 5 months but from day 1 has been hard to get down for a nap. One of the ladies on here suggested blackout blinds to me and since then she's been soooo much easier to get down! She'll nap in the day now but still goes to bed at around 8pm...

My LO was like that in the 4 month sleep regression. She only went for a nap if I rocked her in her pushchair in the dark - even then she only went for 40mins at a time!!
It will pass eventually, mine lasted a few weeks but some don't last that long at all.
Try and see the light at the end of tthe tunnel and good luck xx

She won't even nap at daycare. She goes to an inhome daycare and they keep the room totally dark. It is insane how she just has to be awake. She sleeps 15 hours at night on the weekends tho so I hope she is getting enough sleep. I'll ask her dr on tuesday.

15 hours!! I think thats enough personally but i can understand you wanting her to nap as well.

My LO doesn't nap much during the day either. He will if I lay in bed with him and let him nurse for two hours (although much of that is just comfort sucking). The only problem with that is I don't get a second to myself to do a anything around the house. He does STTN so I guess I can't complain much. It would be nice though if he would take a nap once in a while.

I had a four month old that did not nap, not at all. Did not change the amount of sleep at night either. I was about to tear my hair out.

At five months, he started napping three times a day for up to two hours each shot. It is such a sudden change that I'm still in disbelief and shock.

I have no idea what's going on. All I can tell you is that just when you get used to something or think it's forever going to be a certain way, babies change the game completely.

she doesn't sttn either. She will wake up a few times in those times.

Yep mine doesn't nap either! She will nod off every so often but will last 20 mins max. She does sleep at night tho but from about 9/9.30 till 7.30/9. She used to nap a good few hours in the morning which was great! I cant do anything when she's awake and wants entertaining. I'm sure she's having a bad time teething ATM 2 so I have one unhappy baby! A pp said about sleep regression, is that what this may be? Xxx

My lo is 4 months old and wouldn't nap. I realised she was overtired. She can only take a max 1.5 to 2 hours awake before I have to try and get her down again. If she goes too far, she will only cat nap. Today she had 30 mins 2 hours after she got up then 3 hours, 2 hours after that. I can't get her down before 8:30pm though...
