When we went last week I was 10wks + 5 but the baby wasn't moving at all. I asked the lady who was doing the scan if it was normal and she said yes, but not in the most convincing way.

Im probably reading too much into it.

His heart was beating (apparently, my OH and the lady saw it, but I couldnt make it out), but Im still concerned that he's not moving :s

Is it normal?

Ta :)

I had one at 11 weeks and our little one measured 10+6 and I didn't think s/he was moving much either. S/he kinda wiggled around and when she scanned down kicked it's little feet a bit. There was not as much movement as I expected. But I figured either I have a laid back baby, or the baby was a bit sleep as I had eaten about an hour before. Think out of the entire day I only go to see a few minutes of the baby's activites. For all I know, 10 minutes after that the baby was doing back flips.

Thank you, thats reassuring :)

It was a bit worrying for me and a bit disappointing as well because he just wasnt moving at all.

thank you though, thats definately put my mind at rest!

my baby wasnt moving at my scan last week but im not worried at all, growing takes a lot of energy!

Your welcome. I was expecting more movement as well, but oh well.

When i had a scan with my first DD i remember seeing her really move about, but this time the baby didn't move very much at all. It didn't really move that much at the 20 wk scan either. I can certainly feel it moving about now though, so try not to worry about it, seems pretty normal to me. Maybe our LO's were asleep at the scan, & not performing for us, lol!!

I can't really comment on this because mine was moving so much but you're a week and abit behind me and every pregnancy is different! Aslong as you saw it's heartbeat the chance of miscarriage and stuff has gone down by 99.2% I think! I'm sure if the doctor was concerned they'd have let you know, and booked you in for another scan! Try not to worry (I know, impossible, right?!)

Yeah I know she didnt seemed that concerned, but for starters it was a very rushed job. I was in there literally 3 minutes. And I said to her 'Hes hardly moving? Is that normal? Is he ok?' and she was like 'um... yeah I think so'.

So Ive been worrying all week but my OH hasnt. Its usually the other way round!

Alot of people don't even see their baby move at 20WK. I wouldn't worry too much :)

:hugs:
I think it really depends on the time, baby etc. At my 12 week scan we only saw the bub move twice, two little wiggles and that was it. I'm sure your little one is fine :)

I was told at one of my early scans that baby beans have periods of activity and inactivity like us. But i do know that we like to see some movement when we first glimpsed that little miracle

Yeah, Im not really really worried, just a bit curious, and disappointed as well I guess. I wanted to see him wiggling about! My OH said he saw him move a tiny bit when the lady pushed down harder on my tummy, but he didnt know if it was Junior moving out of the way or being moved by the nurse.

Poor little thing, he was prodded and poked from all angles last week! I think Id be staying still too if I was in his shoes.
