Hi BNB friends,

I am finally back in action after having a 123 day cycle. I just got off of BCP at the end of January this year and could not understand why my cycle had stopped altogether. I was driving myself crazy and my GP wasn't giving me any answers. Finally decided to see a OBGYN specialist and was put on Provera and set up for a couple of blood tests. I was a little bummed that I wasn't one of the fortunate ones who were able to get pregnant right away but I am confident that with working with my doctor we will find answers and a solution.

I was so happy when AF came. Now I ready to join in the journey and count out my days until I hopefully and join the club of being a new mom.

Anyone else having trouble with having cycles, let alone actually getting pregnant? Care to tell my about your journey? What has worked or hasn't?

I got off bcp in July 2013 and have been ttc since then... Still no bfp for me and my OH. I've had issues with getting a normal cycle back, finally the past three months It seems that things have settled down. I have really long cycles like you mention more like 45 days long. With such long cycles there is a lot of waiting time just for ovulation which typically happens around day 30. I have generally around a 14 day lp that is the one constant thing. It's hard because having such a long cycle means less tries for babies so we have to right on with our DTD. We try not to stress about it though but after this month I think we will go to get tested for an fertility problems. I wish you luck with your TTC

Thanks, lweezy!

It's good to hear that your cycles have gotten back to normal. I was worrying that even after the provera that I will still have issues for the long run with "normal" cycles. You're absolutely right that the hardest thing in not having that many cycles is trying to make the cycles count. Is you OH as concerned and involved in trying to get pregnant? Has the year of trying gone by fast or slow? What do you do to keep your mind off of it?

I appreciate you responding and sharing your journey with me!
Tons of :dust: to you!

It sucks, doesn't it? I went off the pill in Jan and then had 2 anovulatory cycles, 39 and 70 days. Meanwhile, people who went off the same time as me or after were already getting pregnant. I finally O'd on CD34 of my 3rd cycle. Now on CD16 of cycle 4, hoping I O eventually here.

My husband is very much actively involved. We finally got our BFP today! It has been a long year of trying, since my periods were abnormal sometimes I would go months without a period and then I would stress about POAS. The last couple months it seemed like I was finally in a grove with cycles and we really amped up our timing the last two months. I wish baby dust to you as well
