Call me crazy... but I'm looking forward to third tri and labour! In my 1st pregnancy I was pretty apprehensive about labour and the pain and how I would cope..I had a natural (drug free AND induced with pitocin) birth which was very painful but the whole experience was awe-inspiring for me...like running a marathon and reaching the finish line. .lots of pain and exhaustion but a wonderful feeling of accomplishment and relief at the end. Even going into labour was exciting! It's
just amazing what our female bodies can do I'm looking forward to doing it again (naturally), and meeting my baby at the end of it.

How are you guys feeling about third tri?

I am super nervous for it, but I have been nervous about everything as this is my first.

Happy for baby to get here but honestly not looking forward to labour...at all! In fact, I would skip the whole thing if I could! I had a 36 hour labour with exclusive back labour the entire time that was a pain I never want to experience again :( I know they say second labours should be quicker and perhaps baby will be turned correctly this time but I am dreading it all the same.

Yes i know exactly what you mean! I'm really looking forward to labour but I have no idea why as my first labour was horrific, I was induced and had a failed epidural, finally ending in episiotomy and forceps. But I can't wait to do it all over again, I'm obviously hoping for a slightly better experience this time though xxx

I had a 56 hour natural med free birth with my son and I am with you hun! I can't wait to do it all again!

I still remember that final push and hearing his first cries I felt like I was standing on the top of Mount Everest! I couldn't believe I had done it! I am so excited to have that amazing moment again! Even the labour was exciting knowing the end if pregnancy was imminent and a new life for us all was about to begin.

I can't wait!!! I had a traumatic birth last time round but I'm feeling more positive this time and I can't wait to meet our little one :)

I'm looking forward to third tri and birth! All my friends with baby's tell me I'm silly to think I'll be fine. Wish everyone would quit being downers and support my desire for natural.

I'm not looking forward to the end of third tri when I'll be feeling stuffed and uncomfortable, but I'm looking forward to the birth....so long as I don't have to have another c-section.

I am looking forward to the birth! I had a great birth experience with my DD and I am so hoping it goes as well this time too, despite the obvious pain! At the time I said 'I am never doing that EVER again' yet here we are ;)

Me to :) I find the whole thing, Pregnancy and birth just amazing and although my labour wasn't as planned and blooming painful (induced, gas, air and episiotomy) I felt so proud of myself and on cloud 9. Counting down the weeks and days on my ridiculous amounts of pregnancy apps :happydance: xx

I'm looking forward to birth. But not 3rd tri! You feel so big and uncomfortable and it's hard to sleep and even move. Lol. It's gonna be exhausting.

I am! I can't seem to stay off the Third Tri board, either. It just makes me think of those exciting last few weeks where you're waiting and watching every little sign, wondering when you'll go into labor, and then of course the actual excitement of labor and meeting your little one.

Granted, I had an epidural both times, so I wasn't in too much pain, but to me labor is one huge adrenaline rush! :flower:

Glad you raised this because I am looking forward to it and was thinking I was a bit weird! It's our first and at 39 could possibly be our only baby so I'm really looking forward to it. I'm not scared of labour at all, although I know it will be painful, challenging, and exhausting. I used to be a real sports nut pre-pregnancy so I'm seeing it as a physical challenge that I am actually allowed to do! And really looking forward to meeting our little man at the end.

I'm excited! I know I'll have a moment of "oh no" when I go into labour but I'll be soooo close to meeting my baby!

Xx

I'm really looking forward to 3rd tri now! Just hit v-day today :wohoo: I always feel like things speed up once you get in to that last little stretch :-D especially 30+ weeks.

I'm looking forward to labor. My first was natural and I had an epidural with the second. I haven't decided which way I'm going to go yet, but I'm just excited to meet baby. I'm not looking forward to how my body feels after giving birth, but it's a small price to pay.

Third trimester is a love/hate thing. I love it because I'm that much closer to birth, baby's a tangible presence with the squirming and I don't even mind my children's fascination with jabbing their toes into my ribs while in the womb. I like nesting. But... I can't see my feet, I can't sleep, I pee and pee and pee and pee. It's not even a, "Huh, I think I need to pee." It's the, "Oh. I need a bathroom right now or I'm going to wet myself!" Ah well. It's all worth it in the end.

I'm looking forward to the third trimester as well cus to me that's when things get real and time fly's lol. The only thing I hate about third trimester is how huge and uncomfortable u feel hahha. But I'm already uncomfortable now smh lol

I'm looking forward to the end. I'm having en elective section so i'm thrilled about that this time there is little risk of danger. I'll just be glad when i'm at home after ive had it

This is my first and I am both very excited and nervous at the same time! I am opting for a natural birth so we will see how that goes! I am so scared I will buckle and beg for pain meds, but hey, no one needs to be a hero, right? :p

I had a pretty nice water birth with DD2, so I'm definitely looking forward to it again! I do wish I could fast forward to 30 weeks though, because this phase feels soooooo slow!
