Anyone else missing their rings?

Hi all,

As the title suggests, is their anyone else unable to wear their wedding ring/other rings because of swollen fingers?
Ive been unable to wear mine for a few weeks now and im really starting to miss them. My fingers hurt so much too.
Not just that but i seem to be getting a lot more dirty looks from people when im out and about, its as though they look at me with my huge belly to see if im married and assume im not as ive no wedding ring on.

I posted about this a few weeks ago. I had to take my rings off at 33 weeks for the same reason. I'm now wearing my wedding ring on a chain around my neck as I felt so lost without it. Lots of people have commented that it is sweet to see me still wearing it as best I can. I think I was able to wear them again at about 4 weeks after having my DS.

Thats terrible that people would judge you because they think your not married!! How ridiculous. I've had to take my rings off a few times, but right now they are ok, but I know before long they will have to come off and stay off.

Dont blame you for missing them, I know once mine have to stay off I will hate it, especially because I'm only recently married.

You haven't got too much longer and you'll be able to get them back on.

So far I have managed to keep my wedding ring on...but my engagement and eternity ring are on a chain around my neck...and my finger still feels bare without them!! I really really don't want to have to take my wedding ring off, it has never been taken off since we got married

I had to put my rings away months ago. I bought a dress mck wedding ring frm Accesorize to wear, in the largest size (my fingers are normally small), and even that won't fit me now I am past the stage of caring too much now, right enough!

yeah i miss mine....i love being married & hate the fact they dont fit havent for 10 weeks now but hoping i havnt got too long left ( im 32 weeks now with twins) x

i'm dreading this. We were going to get married abroad this summer or next, but getting pregnant means we can't afford it now (we both want me to be a sahm) so my engagement ring means the world to me and i don't want to take it off on the plus side my man is getting me me an eternity ring as a pushing present so i've got that to look forward to and i fully intend to wear it on my wedding finger!

I think its probably the area i live in, we've unfortunately got quite a lot of single parent family in our area and people assume things they shouldnt.
Not that im against single parent families though.
I think its getting to me more as its coming up to our 1st anniversary and i would love to be able to wear my wedding and engagement rings but hey ho.

I have trouble getting mine off on a night ... but still manage to SQUEEZE them on on a morning ... feel naked without them! feel for you girls xxx

I took mine off when I was pregnant with William, not wedding rings but other rings and till this day they will not go back on. My fingers gained weight

yes i havt been able to wear mine since i was 30 weeks..and my god i miss have them on it feels strange not wearing them !!
and i no what u mean when i say yes im married they look at my hand as if to say so were are the rings then lol it is annoying!!!

I really miss my rings, my engagement ring had to come off since about 20 weeks I had a ring cut so not going to risk it, the annoying this is that because we got married in july I wasn't able to wear my wedding ring, we're waiting for my fingers to go down before I get measured for it at least oh can wear his! I can't wait to wear my rings, my fingers don't feel as glamorous without a diamond they just look like sausages right now!

I've not been able to wear any rings but my wedding ring since last Nov when i was in hospital with Riley and pumped up with steroids. My wedding ring starting to get a little tight now though xx

i have not worn my rings for an absolute age now! infact i cant even wear my normal shoes!! i attempted to wear my boots and i couldnt even get my foot half way through it!

So it looks like sandals for a bit longer.

(and sod those who are giving you a funny look!).

Yep, little fat sausages is what describes them best at the minute.
Dont even get me started on my feet!!! Even my sandals are tight!
My dh's ring didnt even fit my thumb before and now i cant get it on my finger.
Oh well, it'll all be worth it in the end ladies

I have managed to keep mine on this time, they are a little tight but nothing like with DS when they started cutting off the circulation. But then I had steroids at 30wks with DS and suffered with Oedema (water retention). I know what you mean about the looks, I had so many with DS even with my wedding ring in full view, I apparently look quite young but even so it's not nice to have the judgemental looks. I've had a few this time too, usually look at DS then my bump and then they look disgusted, just feel like shouting at them 'I'm 25, married (not that it matters)and BOTH my children were very much planned and wanted '

I have a tungsten ring that is a comfort fit. I wear it work since I could damage my actual engagement ring and diamond band... I got the tungsten ring which I do love..on ebay for about 25 bucks. I haven't been able to wear my rings since about 25 weeks. I miss them terribly. I have tried to put them on a couple times but it just hurts my finger and is really uncomfortable. I'm hoping I can get them back on after baby is born but if not, they are getting resized.
