Anyone else NOT leaking milk at 37+

Hi everyone

I've been reading lots of weekly blogs for pregnancy just to see what's ahead for me and the baby every week. And it's been several weeks now that I'm reading about leaking breasts. I've also stumbled into a few threads where people talk about already having milk as early as week 30. I'm just wondering, is it normal not to have milk at the stage I'm in? I'm starting to suspect there is something wrong. I actually was bottle fed because my mom didn't have enough milk so it may just be genetic.

I will be 36 weeks tomorrow and don't have any leakage! At this stage with my son I used to wake up with milk stains on my shirt!

Leaking before birth has no impact on ability to BF. Some women will leak some won't. Try not to worry about it.

Definitely no leaking but can make a bit come out if i give a wee squeeze!

No leaking for me either, even when I try and make some come out there is nothing I'm not too worried at this stage, once bubs is here i assume the milk will start to come in

I might have to try squeezing I guess lol I'm not sure it will work though. I recently tried squeezing one of my nipples and nothing came out. i was very gentle though

mine don't actually leak but I can easily squeeze out colostrum since about 5months. Since colostrom is so thick it is not that likely to actually leak out on it's own, and you don't actually get your milk supply in until 2-7 days after delivery, delivering the placenta is what triggers your body to start with millk supply, so whether you leak or squeeze or not now has no relevance to whether you will be able to successfully breast feed once LO is born. Don't worry about it

I'm not leaking & with my son I breastfed successfully and only leaked a tiny bit on 2 occassions. Not everybody leaks.

I'm a bit earlier than you but wanted to reassure you. I NEVER leaked with my DD. I also had an emergency c section and I still breastfed with relatively few problems (I'm talking painful nipples to start with, then fast milk supply). Also, I only leaked a few times once BF was established and hardly ever had to wear breast pads x

I've never, ever leaked and I breastfed both my boys (11 months and 2.5 years). I actually had too much milk with my second. My milk doesn't come in until after the baby is born. Try not to worry.

i felt the same hun, no matter how hard i tried squeezing ....nothing ! then i tried my breastpump for 5 mins and woooo i got colostrum only a little bit but enuff to make me happy

37 tomorrow and not leaking. I had a go at hand expressing after watching a video and the tiniest bit came out though. Just squeezing doesn't work for me.

Am due tomorrow and although my boobs are huge have not leaked at all am not worried as it happens when it needs to x
