I'm only half way thorugh my fifth week and I have been so sick-- no, not morning sickness yet. My throat is so sore, my nose is clogged beyond anything I've had for years. I'm just thankful I'm not really running a fever (I always run low body temp and it's only just barely above normal now!)

Worried it will affect my baby :( And have also lost weight even though I've been trying to chow down and I'm already really thin.

My cramps have subsided mostly which I'm guessing is a good thing?

Any advice? Anyone else survive this and carry through the weeks healthy?

Me! I have a right stinky cold. I've had it for a few days now.

I called midwife who said it won't hurt the bubba. The virus attacks cells and doesn't live in the blood stream so won't pass through. It will just make you feel really rough as you can't take anything for it!

Make sure you get lots of rest, plenty of fluids and keep an eye on your temperature.

Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks! That puts my mind at ease a bit. Hope you feel better too! I can't remember the last time I've been so sick.

When i was around the 5 week mark i was hit with a bad cold, then once shook it off a day later i came down with a flu virus. Was pure hell.... i was completely and utterly miserable and all i could take was panadol.
