I'm not close to the end yet but I am already finding getting up, getting dressed, going to work and actually working tedious. My job isn't very stressful nor does it require a lot of physical activity. I think I've mentally checked out. Seems normal...or is it?

Yep I d say normal. I just dont have the enthusiasm as I know I m going on mat leave and baby is far more exciting.

I feel exactly like this today!!!! I'm a teacher and I'm finding it so uninspiring at the minute and I'm unable to inspire the kids if I'm not inspired myself! I can;t be bothered. I am sooooo tired and I just want to coast out the last 3 weeks and 3 days but another part of me won't let myself. Plus I'm not able to as they keep giving us things to do on top of normal duties.

I only have the next 3 days at work before I finish but as I have been off since Thursday, I am dreading these last 3 days...Ergh! Bring on 5pm on Friday! :) x

Also, for me, there is still a lot to be done. My nursery isn't finished yet (a long story- which is my mother's fault) and I want to do some more decorating to my living room before baby comes. My mind is elsewhere...

I've been training my maternity cover and I am missing having my desk all to myself at work so I'm not as on top of things as I normally would be. I'm definitely looking forward to giving up the commute though, especially as I keep waking up at night and I'm shattered in the mornings

I finished work 1 week ago, I have 2 weeks of leave that I am using up and then maternity leave starts at 38 weeks. It seems like the finish day will never come but when it does, it feels like a huge weight has been lifted :)

Yep totally mentally checked out, all I can think of is my baby is gonna be here really soon. Mat leave can't come soon enough :)

I am still working. I am feeling pretty miserable at work though. Just so friggin swollen. lol

Unless my Dr is extra nice and puts me on leave early, I have another week and a half still. 37+3 right now.

I'm still working :( :). I work in a warehouse and am still doing the physical work lifting up to 50lbs but I DID get my hours reduced to 10hrs a day which help ALOT!!! As much as I'm hating it now I'm only hoping and depending on it to make labour day go much smoother and quicker!!! Plus I've been keeping off the extra weight. I do find it VERY hard to stay focused though. We'll see how much longer I last, but hope to make it till at least 39-40 weeks. My hospital is only a few blocks away from where I work, so what's the harm right?

Blimey - some of you working up until 38/39 weeks!!!! well done you. I'm finishing at 35 weeks because of half term but officially starting it at 36 weeks. i did think about trying to go to 37 weeks but I just thought why....I'm already exhausted - if I have a dizzy spell or get too hot - which happens a lot the kids don;t let me have 5 mins - they don;t care that i am pregnant at all and will continue to stress me out until I go so I'm going earlier so they can;t stress me out. Worst is OFSTEd is due and everybody around me is majorly stressing and I am just praying that they stay away until I've gone!

I'm still working and was planning on working up until the birth.... but am reconsidering it today. I actually went home at lunchtime because I have a seasonal cold on top of the regular pregnancy symptoms and I just couldn't do it.

Really would love if my doc put me on bed rest next week for the remainder of the term!!

I only work 2 days a week and I'm struggling. I get up at 5.30am on the days I work and it takes an hour and a half to get to work :growlmad: My days off are spent with a very active 3 year old but at least there is no commute involved :haha:

Can't wait for mat leave :cloud9:

its my last day tomorrow.i have 8 days holiday im using then my mat leave officially begins jan 28th and i can't wait, its like xmas for me right now- fed up of abusive rude customers and ignorant people in general, ive found it more depressing the past few weeks ive been at work tbh with people just being horrid. i have been told that if you tell your doc you're tired they can sign you off (i just didnt have the gaul to do it :haha:)

I'm still working and 39 weeks along. It's really getting hard now, my tummy was contracting yesterday from sitting so much. But I'm stubborn and will work until she's out, just like I did with my other two kids.

Things are different in the US. You only get off 6 weeks of paid leave and then 6 weeks unpaid for vaginal deliveries, and then it's back to work for a lot of us. This time, I'm only getting off for 8-10 weeks all unpaid because I don't have benefits.

i am til 38 weeks and it really sucks. i work in a nursing home so its a lot of work..my physical therapist wanted me to be done back in november but i couldnt afford to be.. so its been really tough...

I'm still working and lazy as ever lol I have a desk job so I sit all day long.

I will be working straight up until I go into labour, I have SPD and am in a lot of pain most of the time but still have a lot of difficult work to do (writing technical specs for programmers, project managing software development etc) which is very mentally draining - I find that I really can't take co-codamol during the day because it affects my work but it's really the only thing which touches the pain.

I was a bit blue yesterday because I have zero time to think about the arrival of our daughter because there are just 4 million work things to get done between now and then - I already have meetings and deadlines set for after my mat leave. :dohh:

I'm still working, I had my hours reduced from 50 hrs a week to 45 lol. I know, my boss is so sweet. I run 3 resturants so it's getting hard being on my feet all day and running around, but I have to since all I get is 6 weeks unpaid maternity. We need the money so I'm working up until I go into labor!

I am still working and will have to up until baby is due. My job is physical and i feel like crap almost 4 hrs in everytime. By the end of the day my feet aare swollen as are my ankles and very sore
