I get them every pregnancy, always in the middle of the night! Here's what always gets rid of them for me:
- NEVER forgetting your prenatal! I'm terrible at remembering mine, but if I miss two days in a row I'm rewarded with awful 3:00 am cramps from my calf down through the arch of my feet into my toes. It's a good reminder to take them haha!
- eating food fortified with other vitamins. I have a bowl of Multi Grain Cheerios every morning for an extra dose of everything.
- drinking Vitamin Water or a similar product high in electrolytes, esp. potassium and magnesium. A peach, banana and spinach smoothie is high in both, especially if you use frozen spinach (way more calories/nutrients per serving than fresh, since the water's already cooked out).
- lots and lots of water.
