Anyone else TTC with an autoimmune disease?

I have an auto-immune disease, but they haven't put a name on it, since my blood tests and symptoms don't fit any particular mold and I've been nearly asymptomatic for a couple years. Even though I've been nearly asymptomatic, I still have ANA antibodies in my blood (Anti-Ro/SSA and Anti-La/SSB). Last time I got checked my Anti-Ro's were pretty high. It scares me since that's the one that's been known to cause miscarriage and heart problems in the fetus.

As for pregnancy, I'm currently almost 5 weeks pregnant with my first. It took me 5 months of TTC, with one chemical pregnancy at cycle 2. I'm scared to death I'll lose this one. I plan to make an appointment with my Rheumy again soon (I haven't been in a while) to see what my titers are and if there are any meds I need to take to get my ANA down, if necessary.

I'll jump in here. I have ulcerative colitis. I have had one successful pregnancy however it took us awhile to get there with a molar pregnancy and several chemicals. Currently trying to conceive number 2 and had one miscarriage august of last year at about 7 weeks and just recently had a chemical last cycle. Wondering if my autoimmune disease is affecting us with keeping babies or if we're just having "bad luck". Not sure. Hoping we get our rainbow soon.

I'm ntnp #2. We ntnp A for two months then ttc for 6 more cycles and conceived her on soy isoflavones. I have Hashimoto's disease...I had a chemical pregnancy either 1 or 2 cycles before my bfp can't remember which. I think synthroid helped me get my sticky bean, i started it in the tww the month she was conceived.

We are ntnp but should be ovulating today and just happened to dtd yesterday and the night before! We will see!!!!

But there is hope! Hashimoto's sucks. Along with normal crappy symptoms I have a short luteal phase, ovulate late, and have no fertile cm...sucks

Is there anyone else TTC while dealing with an autoimmune problem? I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and Sjogrens Syndrom and would love to comare notes with some else who is dealing with something similar.

I have Lupus and RA and Raynauds.
been TTC for 1 1/2 , got the okay from my rheumatologist back in Aug 2012. They said you want to be at your healthiest before TTC.

Currently seeing a fertility specialist, since Jan 2014 - 2nd cycle of clomid 50mg 3-7.

I just want to say that it is possible. I tried for more than 3 years for my first BFP and finally got it last week.
My thyroid was under control (2.1 TSH) endo was calm but no BFP until my endocrinologist tested my vitamin D levels. I was super deficient at a level 14, I was told to take 10,000 D3 once a week....but after lots of research I decided to take 10,000 D3 daily. Within 2 months my levels went from a 14 to a 41. Two weeks later, I had my FET and a bfp 2 weeks later. That was the only thing that was different from my other IVF/FET cycles - my vitamin D level.

Just look into it and get your vitamin D tested asap. good luck and :dust: you you all.
