I am! I really hope they don't choose one of the names I love or I'll never be able to convince DH to use it because he'll be worried it'll get really popular. Alice is the most popular choice if bookies odds are to be believes and that would be one of our middle names if this bump is a girl but that's OK, they just can't have any of my 1st name choices (currently Isobel, Clara, Tabitha, Lyra or Lydia)/ that's fair right? :haha:.
Anyone else hoping a specific name or names don't get picked??

I was a bit concerned that our boy choice was listed as highly likely option for the royal bub, as it's the only boy name we've been happy with. We still have a few options in the mix for a girl, and I doubt they'd go with these, so I'm less concerned now that they've announced the baby is a girl. Still very interested to find out the name, though. Whatever the name is, I'm sure there will be a significant popularity boost.

I think they're likely to have Alice, Charlotte, Victoria or Elizabeth.

But yes before george was born George was my boys name but now in top 5 so no chance!

I hope they don't use Alexandra cos it's a name that I'd consider in the future, not that I'll be having any more mind you! I'd be very worried right now if I was having a girl, but I don't think they're likely to choose any of your name choices just cos they're low on betting lists for names, and they were 100% right with George being the name first time. I think it might be Charlotte?

Quite nervous about any of the other currently pregnant celebrities using a name I'm using though. Especially if it's someone I like, cos it'll look like I'm copying!

OH and I were just talking about this earlier. When Prince 'George Alexander Louis' was born, so many people we know named their baby one of these three names. Like we know three one year old Louis' :dohh:

I don't think they'll use our girly choices (all flower names) but if they did we'd probably change our decision just because they're likely to get so popular.

I have to say, I was really excited to hear the news today though :)

I think you'll be fine! They went so traditional with George it'd be odd if they went for something not in the top 50.

Im scared as our top girls name is Matilda and I heard that's in the running along with the other favourites!

I think they are very limited by tradition. Unless your favorite baby name is Elizabeth, Anne, or Charlotte, I wouldn't worry. I would put money on Charlotte. It's traditional but still modern enough.

I think it will be Charlotte Elizabeth.

I'm not worried about all given the style of names we like x

If we are having a girl we were going to call her Jayde Charlotte. I guess we are going to have to rethink that one. I'm not too upset because Charlotte was my hubby's choice not mine.

I am worried it will be Alice. I love that name and although I don't think I would be able to convince my oh to use it I want to have the option without it becoming too popular.

I was until I found out I was having a boy. My top girls name was Elizabeth, and I think that's got a fair chance at being the picked name. I did have Delilah as my back up though. My boys names are Leonard or Vincent....I'm thinking they're unlikely choices for a girl!!! Xx

A little OT, but Isobel (especially that spelling) must be shooting up in ranks for popularity as when I first joined I hadn't seen any have it as a name picked hehe. But the past week I've seen it 5 times in posts hehe. I have had my LG (due this month!! :D ) name picked out for years though.

I don't care of a names popular... But I can sympathize with you girls, id really hate for my baby name to be royal baby popular (thank god I live in the US so that doesn't much matter here).

I think they'll go with something less predictable this time..maybe Sophia Frances? Anyway, I don't think it would bother me if I was in that situation - you know you have taste if you like the same name as royalty!

Aw I love Isobel so much, it ha been the name I wanted for my daughter since I was little. We nearly used it for DD but didn't because it is so popular, I still regret not using it and am working on Dh t let me use it if this LO is a girl.

Charlotte Elizabeth was my #1 girls name choice. My partner hated it! George was a contender for my boys middle name and Alexander is my partners surname. So we nearly ended up with really royal named unintentionally. Elizabeth and George are both family names!

I never believe the popular lists as depends on area. Personally going with a name you always wanted has massive massive rewards x

Well they called her Charlotte Elizabeth Diana. Luckily not one of my choices but a beautiful name for a princess IMO xx

 Charlotte was the only name we had agreed on

Love the name Charlotte but had this picked out for a possible name for baby#2 if a girl well beforehand.
