Anyone ever had brown blood discharge approx. a week before ovulation?

I haven't made it that far in my new cycle yet, but for the past two cycles (the only cycles we've been TTC, go figure lol) I've been getting brown discharge like old blood approx. 5-6 days before my scheduled ovulation time. It usually lasts around 3 to 4 days, and I've never had it before in my entire life. I tend to have a long cycle usually around 37-38 days and suspect I ovulate around CD22-23 according to opks, but this is my first cycle temping (cycle 3).
