I was told yesterday from my dr that I need to use a belt, cuz my muscles are wrecked so bad that my tummy is hanging too low, and thats whats causing my back pain. I put it on last night and it really helped! Instead of trying to lift my belly, I used it to help carry some of the weight. I think thats why I never liked using it before. But, it just started to make me wonder, how does that affect the baby? Does it squish him at all? I didnt think to ask my dr that!!

Hmm, I wouldn't think it would pose a problem or else they probably wouldn't (or at least I'd hope they wouldn't) make them. Plus baba is so well cushioned in there that there should be no affect. As long as it helps you feel much better and it's doc recommended, I say definitely wear it!

Thanx Gia! I just feel like Im putting constant pressure on him. But ur right. Maybe Im just being overprotective already lol

I use one as I suffer from SPD and the belt helps keep baby off my pelvic bone.
Baby is floating in so much water that I wouldn't worry. Our bodies are designed to protect baby so it would bother you before it would effect baby:hugs:
That's what I was told when I asked because I was concerned like you.

That'll help with SPD also??? Omg, Im NEVER gonna take mine off now ;) That always gets so bad in the last 2 months for me, it takes me time to get up from sitting, then to walk is sooo painful/!

It doesn't cure it but it makes the pain livable for me.
The belt kinda holds the baby up and supports my pelvic bone and hips.
I have even worn mine to bed ( well the couch since I feel best lying there)

He'll soon tell you if you're squashing him! Mine won't tollerate it at all just tries to kick me to death if I wear it so I'm sure your wee man's ok! xxx

I used one last time I was pregnant mainly just to keep my jeans up! Now here I am pregnant again and the search for maternity jeans that don't fall down continues...
(Oh and the belt was useful for support as well!)
