I am because I had a horrible epi experience with my ds. I see most woman who post are getting a c section many by choice. Is there anyone doing a natural vaginal or vaginal birth?
How do you edit the tread title omg I can barely understand it lol

i an EMCS with my first & this time round, if all goes to plan with baby & myself, then im hopfully going to have a successful VBAC ..

Aww I pray all goes well. I wanted a natural birth with ds but I wasn't prepared for the pain so I got the epi and it turned my life upside down as soon as baby was born. I was sick 3 months with spinal headaches and wrist pain. I don't want to go through that again

First pregnancy and I am hoping for an natrual vaginal birth

I had a natural birth with both of my children my first labour was longer than my second but the pain was more intense second time round but I managed using my tens machine and birthing ball!

What is a tens machine?
Ty ladies I was curious bc I see a lot of planned c sections. I'm doing all I can to do this one natural. I'm excited actually

I've had vaginal natural with 3 and one with an epidural. I plan on another natural vaginal with this one too. I would never do a c-section unless really needed. I understand having a repeat cs when there's a traumatic previous birth, but I don't understand women who want one just because they want to avoid pain, or stretching. A cs is MAJOR surgery. Far more complications can arise , plus the pain. Go natural if you can!

I had a med free natural birth with my son and it was the most amazing experience of my life. The natural high that occurs post birth is like winning the longest and most difficult marathon ever! I was so proud of myself and plan to have another med free natural birth. I am actually quite afraid of the possibility of a c section... But I do know every birth is different and I will definitely not say I would never have any medical interventions, I'm just hoping I won't want/need to.

I had a vaginal birth with Ds#1 with epidural (I was 19 & just let the doc and nurses kinda guide me through the delivery, they didn't really ask they just said that it would be done at 5-8cm dilated and I let them) it was a LONG labor (24 hours) with DS#2 I was supposed to have an induction due to his size but was in labor when I arrived for the induction, I had another epidural and that slowed contractions so I had to have pitocin and then stop the pain meds so it was a pain med free birth by the time I was pushing ( 22 hours in labor) I may have to be induced with this one if he follows his bothers weight trends but I want it to be pain med free and hopefully all med free (natural) but because of size of my babies and me I don't think my doc will let me go past 38 weeks.
DS#1 labor stopped at 35 weeks, born at 37 weeks 8lbs 20.25in long; DS#2 born at 38 weeks 21.25in long. (I am usually small US size 2-4 and only 5'3". I gained a little extra weight before this pregnancy and I've been through it twice now so I am hoping I can handle the large babies better this time around. )

Yes I agree. I don't know why woman choose it either. I'm definitely preparing for natural and doing a lot of pain management even now. Praying you get your natural. I'm so happy women are going back to it!♡

I pray you get your perfect delivery. My son was 5 lbs but he had a big head lol so that won't be a problem. I was young too. I wish I would not have gotten the epi but I live and learned I'm ready for battle lol

I'm also afraid of a c section not only bc it's a surgery but also it has become so normal and done with out being medically necessary. You can do it!♡

A tens machine is a machine that gives out pulses of electric energy it has sticky pads you place on your back and comes with a hand held controller that lets u send out the electric pulses when you are having a contraction! I hope you get the natural birth your hoping for.

I had an awful birth with dd, she was back to back and as soon as the pain kicked in I opted for the epidural and it wore off after three hours and in the end I had forcep delivery, I was totally unprepared for the amount of pain I was going to go through.

However, this time I know exactly what labour feels like and I'm feeling prepared now, I'm going to try my best to have a natural drug free labour.

I had an awful assisted vaginal birth with DS1.. wholly traumatic from start to finish and 2 years after as well.

DS2 i had a planned section and I loved it. It was amazing, healing time afterwards and pain were much much better than what i experienced from my assisted delivery!

This time i would Love Love Love a VBAC and am going to do everything possible to get it BUT at the first sign of anything going wrong i will be going down for another Section. I will take healing from a section any day over the trauma caused by a horrible birth. xx

This is my first. I'm really hoping for a natural birth but will take it as it comes. I'm being monitored right now to see if I have a condition that means I have to have an early c section. The surgery scares me much more than the pain of labor right now. But I will do whatever I need to to keep my baby safe. Hopefully I will be able to try natural. I have been grieving that I won't get to experience labor.

I've had three natural births with just gas and air for pain relief. Two were inductions, my second was spontaneous. I had a third degree tear with my first but it still didn't put me off doing it again.. And I didn't tear at all with the other two :)

I'm hoping for a home water birth this time!

I had an epidural with my daughter because I had to have the syntocinon drip and the epidural was fine but I'm hoping not to have to have one next time. That said I had a horrible experience with retained placenta so not sure what they're going to do about that this time round. Hopefully another vaginal birth but am open to having a c-section depending on what the consultant recommends.

I had 3 med free natural births, then one vaginal birth with an epidural and I'll probably do the same this time around.

A C-Section is an option for me, depending on babies size. My last DD was 10lbs 3oz and had shoulder dystocia during delivery. I'll still opt for a vaginal birth this time, but I'll be induced at least a week early.
