Anyone g or vaginaloing to do a natural vaginal birth?

My first was a pitocin induction and I opted for the epidural.

My second was a drug-free hospital delivery. It's a very intense experience and my biggest piece of advice is to be upright (walking, standing, swaying, bouncing on a birth ball) as much as possible.

A tens machine is a machine that gives out pulses of electric energy it has sticky pads you place on your back and comes with a hand held controller that lets u send out the electric pulses when you are having a contraction! I hope you get the natural birth your hoping for.

I've never heard of it but I'll definitely be looking into it. Sounds pretty helpful. Thank you!

I had an awful birth with dd, she was back to back and as soon as the pain kicked in I opted for the epidural and it wore off after three hours and in the end I had forcep delivery, I was totally unprepared for the amount of pain I was going to go through.

However, this time I know exactly what labour feels like and I'm feeling prepared now, I'm going to try my best to have a natural drug free labour.

Agreed. I'm preparing myself for the pain and I've starting a few techniques I want to use. I'm determined to have the labor I want. Praying daily all goes well and won't need medical interventions. I've read so much on how the interventions are a big cause for normally unnecessary c sections forceps induction etc.

I had an awful assisted vaginal birth with DS1.. wholly traumatic from start to finish and 2 years after as well.

DS2 i had a planned section and I loved it. It was amazing, healing time afterwards and pain were much much better than what i experienced from my assisted delivery!

This time i would Love Love Love a VBAC and am going to do everything possible to get it BUT at the first sign of anything going wrong i will be going down for another Section. I will take healing from a section any day over the trauma caused by a horrible birth. xx

Sorry to hear your first delivery was horrible. Although mine wasn't the best I don't see myself planning a C section just like pregnancy every birth is different. But you had to do what was right for you. I hope you get your VBAC and definitely hope it's a more beautiful and wonderful experience unlike your first.♡

This is my first. I'm really hoping for a natural birth but will take it as it comes. I'm being monitored right now to see if I have a condition that means I have to have an early c section. The surgery scares me much more than the pain of labor right now. But I will do whatever I need to to keep my baby safe. Hopefully I will be able to try natural. I have been grieving that I won't get to experience labor.

I grieve with you hun everyone should be able to try to give birth vaginally. I pray you get too. But I agree whatever is safe for you and your lo.

I've had three natural births with just gas and air for pain relief. Two were inductions, my second was spontaneous. I had a third degree tear with my first but it still didn't put me off doing it again.. And I didn't tear at all with the other two :)

I'm hoping for a home water birth this time!

I want a home water birth too! I am a little freaked at all this Ebola talk and having my rights violated in a hospital over my right to birth freely. I too wouldn't let that tear deter me from another natural birth. I'm practicing and praying. Really all I can do to ensure a safe non medical intervention birth. I read a lot and I've ready envisioning your birth can help even before birth occurs so I envision the positions I want to be in and how I want to be the whole time it's fine bc everything happens as I want it in my dreams lol

I had an epidural with my daughter because I had to have the syntocinon drip and the epidural was fine but I'm hoping not to have to have one next time. That said I had a horrible experience with retained placenta so not sure what they're going to do about that this time round. Hopefully another vaginal birth but am open to having a c-section depending on what the consultant recommends.

I really wish I hadn't gotten the epi. It wasn't the best option for me but I wasn't prepared properly for the pain. I hope you get your vaginal birt h hun♡

I had 3 med free natural births, then one vaginal birth with an epidural and I'll probably do the same this time around.

A C-Section is an option for me, depending on babies size. My last DD was 10lbs 3oz and had shoulder dystocia during delivery. I'll still opt for a vaginal birth this time, but I'll be induced at least a week early.

10 lbs amazing my son was only 5 lbs but he was so long with a huge head lol. I was also induced

Pitocin is the worse. I wish I had figured out another way or asked questions but I've let my first birth experience go and know that this one will be different. I'm better prepared. I've been practicing all my moves lol

how far along were you when your DD was born? My DS#1 was 8lbs at 37 weeks and DS#2 was 9lbs at 38 weeks. Were you 40 weeks? Or earlier? They said if I went to 40 with DS#2 he could have been 11lbs!

I have had 2 med-free natural births and plan for a third, if all goes well! :)

I was 39 weeks 2 days. Her 32 week ultrasound showed her to be 5 lbs, 3 oz. I asked dr if I should worry....he said no, ultrasounds can be plus or minus 1 lb. Um, so that meant she could have already been 6 lbs at 32 weeks! Haha. Needless to say I changed OBs this time around!
