Anyone had a Previous C-Section?

I had an emergency C-Section with my son in Dec 2011 and am due again July 1st 2013 so 18 months apart.

There were some complications with my son at his birth so now I do not know what to do with the next labour. They have said it is my choice as to which I go for....

Haven't been advised yet one way or the other...

Haven't been to any VBAC info sessions so any advice be much appreciated....

i had an emergency c-section in october 2011 and because of complications during that birth and pregnancy i have to have another c-section. talk to your doctor you should be able to request a vbac if there are no problems! hope you get to have a nice easy vbac! good luck

I too had to have a C-Section after a failed induction back in October, 2011. My little ones will be 20 months apart. I had a long talk with my ob about my options with this pregnancy and the safest route for both me and the baby, given the complications I had with DD1, is another Section with DD2. However, but for those issues, I probably could have opted for a VBAC, so this definitely may be an option for you!! I would talk to your doctor about what your best options are given your circumstances and history. There are lots of ladies who have gone on to have successful VBACs after a Section, best of luck to you!!

I had a csection in oct '11 and have opted for a vbac this time. Dr said there is a 72% success rate of giving birth naturally after a csection. Obviously that will depend on what complications you had last time. My appointment at the vbac clinic isn't until I'm 36 weeks so that's all the info I've had so far

I had a c-section in 2008 with my girls. I am praying for a VBAC and assuming it shouldn't be a problem. My doctor asked if i'd like to have a vaginal or c-section and seemed happy that I chose VBAC. I'm just hoping I have the strength/pain tolerance to push through!

i had a c section in may 09 and then gave birth naturally in sept 10.and am also going ahead for natural labour again as it was just a great experience.they gave me a choice of c section with this baby and my daughter but everything went well and didnt need to have a c section.if u have any concerns speak with ur doc and say how u feel.usually as long as all is well with u n baby they will let u go ahead and try naturally if u want x
