anyone had the 2nd dose of oral misoprostol work?

Ive been having bleeding and cramping for the past two weeks and my midwife said it's not a viable pregnancy based on symptoms, ultrasound and labs results. Yesterday I took my first dose of misoprostol, 4 tabs dissolved in mouth for 30 minutes and then swallowed them, fully expecting to have severe pain and bleeding within a few hours. Nothing much happened except some nausea and intermittent moderately painful cramps.

Today I am going to take another 800mg dose and am hoping to have some results so I can avoid the D&C. Has anyone not had success until the second dose of misoprostol?

I didn't take it orally, I was given the tablets as an internal pessary but they didn't work at all for me first time, I had to go back for a second dose two days later which did start things off, but I'm still bleeding two weeks on from the second dose so it's been quite long and drawn out.
