Anyone had their Uterus Scraped after a Failed IVF/ICSI?

Hi Ladies

I wonder if anyone can give me any information? Today was suppose to be a CD2 trip to the clinic and to check if everything is fine and ready to give ICSI another try (failed last month )

No pre warning she said i will scrape your Uterus to make it stickier for the embryos on the next try?? I was in shock plus im heavily on my period (eww, she told me it will be like E.T not painful at all)

I think i crushed her hands twice, dug my nails in the leather bed, lifted my bottom in the air was SO SO PAINFUL!, yelled out loud so many times, i was in so much agony! I didnt want to cry never have i felt this pain before (Makes a Brazilian wax a walk in the park and that hurts!)

Than after she did the scraping, she checked my antral follicles and theres a 5cm Cycst on my right Ovary, she said its very normal after a failed cycle i have never had cysts before FS said they should go by itself and we should NOT go ahead with this cycle and wait for 1 month.

In a nutshell the scraping of the Uterus was a waste of time as i need to do another one next month why on earth did she not do the Ultrasound 1st?? that way she would have saw the Cyst and knew that there was not going to be a cycle this month, and will not be any need for the scraping?? (what makes it worse was it was done for nothing...)

I can take pain, but today was unbelievable! now im dreading the next Uterus scraping... anyone had the same thing? some clinics give pain relief while in others they go fully under?? i was wide awake... and its physically the worst pain since TTC Journey?? the icing on the cake was once it was done the nurse had to inject me with a HUGE NEEDLE so i will not get infected down there

Sorry i dont want to worry anyone that has this coming up.... will appreciate anyones experience xx

Nayla, omg! that's completely horrible! I have not had that done (thankfully sounds like!) but for sure they should have given you something for pain! (I am a nurse -although not in fertility) I would INSIST on it if I were you! No wonder you are dreading the next one! How awful!
BTW I saw you posted another thread for IVF in May. I'm gonna post on that one too!

Yeah definitely i will ask for some pain relief next time! i know for a fact i cant put myself through that again i was shocked she just did it so casually...

One minute i was laying on the bed for the ultrasound as discussed 2min previously, next minute she said im just going to scrape your uterus it will be fine?? Me being Naive and so desperate said 'do what you have to do'

It was awful and she can see the pain i was in, the nurses were just stood there while one was telling me to keep still while she was rubbing gel on my belly, i felt like saying try having some one shove a long dry medal rod in you, and you can feel it scraping and pushing your bits around.... terrible im thinking was a another nurse holding my foot down i do think there was?? ohhh it was a painful blur,
