anyone had to wait for someone to come and fix a prepayment meter?

our gas meter has just gone - "battery failed"
we now have no gas (yay!)

rang e-on and they diverted us somewhere else. the woman asked if we had a child and how old they were. they then put OH on hold for a while and said someone will be out within 4 hours.

anyone had roughly the same thing? how long did you have to wait for them?

the latest they can turn up is 1am...

they've just been. they came within half an hour if anyone else has this problem!

Wow thats good! Mine took a few days to sort, it was winter and freezing! I had to wait for them to send me a new card

They wouldnt send anyone out to look at it despite having two babies because it was bank holiday weekend

Had no heating. hot water or hob to cook on!
