Anyone have a corpus luteal cyst and not been pregnant ?

I was late for my period so I took a test it was neg , I took another , 5 more . I am now 20 dpo ( confirmed O through ultrasound . I called today to get the results of the scan done at 10 dpo and she told me I had corpus luteal cyst and might not have a period for a while . I have never had one and don't know what to expect . How long before it's gone ? Will it cause pain ? Thanks in advance
